Camper van parked outside my neighbour's house
Q. my neighbor parks his camper van outside his house but it is so long it is also outside my house and no where to park my car and the constant view from my bay window is the side of a caravan as the camper van never moves as they have a other vehicle they use for getting around in they use it once in a blue moon for a weekend away ??
Rodger Connolley, Blackpool
A. Hi Mr Connolley My partner and I have just purchased a Motor Home (4 Berth) which is very long as you can appreciate and we were thinking of parking out side the front of the house on the road but we realised that everybody has a right to a view outside of their window so we have found a caravan/Motor home park in our village, albeit at a hefty £500 per year to use, so I can understand why your neighbour parks where he does. He pays his tax so your neighbour is not doing anything wrong. I sympathise with you, maybe its something you could take up with your local council regarding "your right for a view" or "obscuring your access". Maybe just have a chat with him to see if he can make a compromise as the last thing you want is a disgruntled neighbour! Good luck
