Finding Start Of Walks
Q. Do you provide postcodes for walk start points? That would make it easier for GPS drivers to find the start locations.
Gordon Sinclair, Lancaster
A. Since some of our walks start in remote locations that do not have a post code this wouldn't be much use.
However, we do provide the grid reference for the start of each walk (on the downloadable route instructions) and the lat lon (latitiude/longitude) reference for the start of each walk.
This can be accessed by clicking on the
link on each walk description.
For example, to navigate to the start of walk c111 Scafell Pike from Wasdale in car SatNav users should select the Latitude/Longitude screen and enter: Lat = N54.46561 and Lon = W3.25606.
I hope this helps
