The Reform Tower (or Earl Grey Tower) was erected by a local landowner to celebrate the 1832 Reform Act.Earl Grey was the Liberal Prime Minister who brought in the Reform Bill but is now probably more famous for the tea named after him.
Over 70 sites of Bronze Age activity have been found on Stanton Moor though little is known of their significance. Nine Ladies Stone Circle comprises 1m high stones which form a 10.6m diameter circle.

The highest point of this walk is Stanton Moor at 323m (1060ft). Stanton Moor is known as an English Bridget. The summit of Stanton Moor is marked by an Ordnance Survey Trig Point.
