I am a Female Walker, in my early 40s, based near Preston.
My Message: Hi, I'm a young, recently single 42 year old female, who would like to meet walking partner/partners, (male or female), for weekend/evening walks. I have not done much walking recently, but have done Snowdon, Triffin and Helvellyn etc in the not so distant past. Love all walks, whether it be short and leisurely or long and strenuous.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Hereford.
My Message: I am a fit and energetic 59 year old lady looking for somebody who would be happy to show me around the Lake District and incorporate some walking, one week-end in March. I can comfortably walk 6/7 miles, although I am a little out of practice so could be a little out of condition! Obviously this would only be a taster but I am anxious to fullfil a desire to visit the area.
If you know your way around the Lake District and would enjoy some company, let me know. If you live close to Herefordshire, we could even share the journey. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Leeds.
My Message: Hi my name is Ollie, i'm a 60yr old retired lady, fit and active. I am in a walking club and also a running club but would love to meet both male and female fellow walkers who are able to walk during the week as well as weekends. I am particularly interested in meeting people who would like to walk Long Distance Paths. I did the Furness Way last year stopping at hostels and B and B's and really enjoyed it and would love to do more. Although I am reasonable with a map, I haven't the navigational skills or confidence to do mountain walking alone even though i am fit enough to the big Scottish Peaks with the right people ( did some in Glencoe last May). Looking forward to hearing from like minded people

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near North Bedfordshire.
My Message: Hi, I'm a single, 57 year old, female, who has just moved from the Derbyshire Peak District to rural Bedfordshire! So I'm missing the hills. I'm looking for a male friend for walking, talking, laughing and that pint/meal at the end of the day. I love walking in wild, empty places and don't mind roughing it occasionally to get to that special place. I completed the Coast to Coast in May and would like to do other trails........preferably using B&Bs! I've walked a lot in Europe, Canada, Patagonia and New Zealand and would love to discover new places. And I've recently discovered the delights of Assynt and Norway. I work full-time, so weekends tend to be reserved for walks. I'm not particularly fast - I like to take in everything around me rather than going on a route march! I'd love to hear from you if you have similar interests.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 40s, based near Skipton.
My Message: Hi, I’m Andrew from North Yorkshire and I really enjoy walking around the dales but it’s much better to share it with someone.
I’m looking for a female friend to go walking with. Someone to chat, to share the views and find a good pub or cafe at the end of the days walk (preferably with roaring open fire on cold days).
Now unattached and keen to make new friends, get out walking at weekends and evenings too once the spring/summer gets going.
I enjoy any sort of walks from a stroll around a reservoir to something more adventurous heading up the hills. Lots of beautiful dales walks in area but would like to try the lakes as well and always enjoy the coast. Transport is no problem, I often work around the Peak District which is another favourite area.
Not done any long walks recently but am generally fit and active and always up for a challenge.
I’m easy going and not too bad with maps. I want to get out more and explore the countryside with friendly company so if any of this sounds like the same things you enjoy please get in touch. Thanks :)

I am a Female Walker, in my late 30s, based near Bury.
My Message: Hi, I love walking but want to get into it more. I work shifts, so have weekdays free when my boy is at school, between 10 and 2, allowing for travel and the odd weekend and some evenings. No regular pattern tho! Due to the time limits I have limited my walk types and locations. But when I can, I am willing to go anywhere! I also love fairweather camping and me and my son love to, so any single camping/walking friends are welcome to contact me. My son is age 9.
I like walking with a fella as it tends to challenge more to keep up!!! I need those leg muscles strengthening.
I am single but genuinely looking to have male company, not necessaily gain a relationship! Lucy

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near Bowness-on-windermere.
My Message: Hi, I’m a fun loving 48 year old single male who has just moved into the South lakes area. I have dusted my boots off and I am ready to head for the fells and hills.
I love the outdoors, walking, camping, picturesque views and photography. I would like to find someone to share the journey and experiences with… not forgetting a well deserved drink and meal in a cosy pub at the end of the day.
I am free most weekends and occasionally midweek. I am also thinking about trekking abroad this year if I can find someone to travel with.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Worthing.
My Message: Hi, I live in sussex and I`m a complete newbie. I am looking for patient females to show me the ropes at this walking lark. I have been in the Army and vaguely remember about magnetic north and grid north, but that was a lifetime ago.. I am fit and go to the gym, but I`m interested in photography and would like to meet like minded walkers to combine the two. I work nights, so I can walk pretty much all week (afternoons)
I love the tired buzz that comes after a long walk, but getting fed up walking along Worthing seafront or similar. To start I would like to explore the southdowns and work my way up to a small mountain. If you are of similar ilk please get in touch.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Langley Mill, Notts.
My Message: I am a single 53yo lady who has definitely put on a few pounds over Christmas and needs to do something to make this year a better year healthwise and environment aware. To that end I would like to do the MacMillan Cancer Charity walk around Carsington Water (8 miles) in May and generally get myself out and feeling fitter. Trouble is, walking alone is a bit 'scary', so I'd like to find some new friends to walk with, who may also like to do the charity walk and make this year nicer.
I work full time, so can only go out in the evening or weekends.
If anyone out there is prepared to take on a novice walking companion, or is a novice and needs a walking buddy then please get in touch.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Derby.
My Message: Hi, I live in Derbyshire and I am genuinely looking for a male companion to share all there is to love and enjoy in walking and discovering new experiences. I have loved walking for many years, and has always been my love and a way of keeping fit and healthy. I love walking in any weather and as often as possible. I enjoy both gentle walking, stoping to take in views and breath the fresh air, and longer all day walks which are more challenging.
I love walking holidays, and I would very much like to explore further. There are so many areas of the country I have yet to discover, and I am looking for a like minded male to share these times with. I would love to plan a walking holiday this year.
I am free to walk most week-ends, and also some evenings when the evenings are lighter.
I would love to hear from you if you would like to share my love of walking, and the discovery of many new walks up and down the country.
Thank you for reading my message, Olwyn.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Newcastle Upon Tyne.
My Message: Hi I'm a reasonably fit 50+ lady looking for walking companion(s) or a group of walkers in the North East of England. Just to get away from the same old home to work routine that goes on week after week. My partner thinks getting from A to B should be done by the quickest and fastest route possible. (Why walk when you can get there in a rocket!) Have previously done some walking/hiking in North Yorks and Lake District and Northumberland. I'm free most weekends, but would also like to organise a group walk for a few days. I know the weather's not great at the moment, but meeting up just to talk about organising walks could be fun and could be done over a couple of drinks in a warm friendly pub? If you fancy walking or talking about walking, get in touch.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Rochester.
My Message: Hello. I’m Kent-based, 51 on birth certificate, but stopped counting at 35. Commuting to the City for work means that I can only get out to walk at weekends, but I became single again last year, so I now have every other weekend free.
I enjoy fairly strenuous fell walks, but I’m equally happy on a woodland stroll, as I walk for the pleasure of being in the countryside, stopping to look around, and maybe taking some photos – I’m not interested in beasting myself on a route march. If you appreciate the simple pleasure of birdsong on a balmy June day, you’ll know what gets me out of doors too.
The Lakes are my main passion, but living in the SE means I only get to do Wainwright bagging 2 or 3 times a year, alas. I’m planning to do the C2C, and hope to tick off some sections of the North Downs Way as “training” walks between now and then. I also have NNAS Silver Cert, so can usually find my way home..
I have enjoyed my solo walking so far, but would love to join a group of like-minded souls, or to hear from anyone (M/F) with whom any of this strikes a chord, and who enjoys a walk and an easy-going natter on just about anything. Local contacts would be ideal, of course, but I’m equally happy to travel further afield to meet and walk – anywhere in fact where there is good scenery, pleasant company, and a village pub. Hope to hear from you.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Leicester.
My Message: I am a complete novice, have never really walked any great distance but long to do so. Live in the South Leicestershire area close to Warwickshire/Northants borders and really need a companion to go for gentle walks at the weekends. Stuck at a computer all week and hardly move so need to get out there in the fresh air and get some proper exercise. A friend of mine has suggested the Half Moon Walk in London which is 13 miles so I need to get some practice in. Would love to hear from you if you (like me) have no one to walk with.
