I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Birmingham.

My Message: I'm amazed when I go on some of the go4awalk walks how few other people I see. Although I quite like the solitude I can't help feeling it would be more satisfying to be able to share some of the walking experiences with someone (and their dog maybe)

I'm also running out of walks locally so would like to have someone to venture further afield with.

I'm easy going company, hopefully not too hideous on the eye and I look rather smart in my bright red Berghaus jacket!

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near St. Bees.

My Message: I am a professional male, 47, separated for the last few years. I am losing my main walking partner (my son) who is off to university this autumn, so I am looking to widen my circle of people to go out on the hills with. I have been improving fitness and navigation skills, and have gained the confidence to move from doing local lake district fells to a first few Munros. I did the coast to coast with a group recently, and did bits of the tour de Mont Blanc last summer. I enjoyed getting out in the snow last winter, but also love to potter about around the lakes at low level. What I hope for is some company while out on the fells, male or female, and maybe grow a few friendships. If you are around in the lakes at the weekend and want company, then give me a call. Equally if you want to join me bagging a few Munros I'm up for that too. Andrew.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Treorci.

My Message: I used to walk a lot, but unhappy events have prevented me from doing so during the last few years. I want to get back into walking, but am hesitant to do it alone. I am a geocacher too, so if anyone would like to hunt caches with me, that would be an added bonus.

I'm looking for companions who don't feel it necessary to walk against the clock. I like to take my time and enjoy the surroundings. Since I have to regain my fitness, I won't be particularly fast to start with. Also, it often takes me as long or longer to go downhill as to go uphill, because my balance isn't very good. Patience and the occasional steadying hand would be much appreciated!

I live in the Rhondda. Wales is my adopted country and I would love to get to know it better. That is why I have marked Welsh locations, but I am open to walking anywhere. I am free most weekends and can also arrange to be free mid-week because I work from home as a freelance. My interests include learning Welsh, classical, folk and world music, playing and singing in a West Gallery quire, reading and bookcrossing.

I have been organizing and leading the walks now for 17 years, we walk at a steady pace and go at the pace of the slowest, anyone who is reasonably fit should be able to enjoy our walks.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Crewe.

My Message: I'm a 34 year old divorced, professional man. I haven't been on that many walks and would love to do a lot more but unfortunately have no-one to go with. I keep myself fit so am not concerned about lack of fitness. I would like to go walking with a female aged between 25-45. I'm easygoing and love chatting so would like to meet someone similar who I can have a chat and a laugh with and maybe a meal and a drink at the end of the walk. I'm not familiar with many walking routes and have no sense of direction so if you fancy getting lost with me please get in touch. I'm conscious that this is beginning to look like a dating website advert, which it isn't, but if we're going to spend a few hours together it would be great if we could get on. I am based in Cheshire but willing to drive for a walk and may even be up for a walking holiday if we hit it off. I have ticked a few areas but I'm interested in most places. Get in touch and lets see if we get on!

I am a Female Walker, in my early 20s, based near Ticknall.

My Message: My cousin Sophie and I run a new walking group'. We arrange walking events which are for all ages, genders and abilities in the South Derbyshire area. As we also love food, we arrange a 'picnic' for everyone who comes along to our walks made by a fantastic local catering company.

The walks usually start off in Ticknall, Derbyshire and we have around one a month. We also arrange bespoke walks for birthdays, hen and stag dos and corporate get-togethers.

Our next walk is on June 18th and is an evening walk with a soup supper but there are loads more...

Jess :-)

I am a Male Walker, in my early 30s, based near Doncaster.

My Message: Hello all,

I'm Phil, 32, and a regular walker. I'm looking for any and all comers who are keen to get out into the mountains, preferably Scotland, but equally happy with the Lakes/Snowdonia. I am enthusiastic and pleasant company and I'm looking for like minded people to hike with and share the experience, and the driving! I am reasonably fit and experienced, having done all three national peaks and the Yorkshire dales 3 peaks challenge, and so can encourage those who are less fit and experienced with their ambitions to improve. I am also keen on photography and may want to keep stopping to indulge. I am also more than happy for dogs to come along as they always seem to add fun to a walk.

I hope to hear from all interested guys and gals.
Thanks

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Hexham.

My Message: Hello. Newly-single female keen to cram in more walking round the demands of job, house and teenagers!
I enjoy walking the trails (completed Hadrian's Wall path, Cumbrian Way, West Highland Way, and Coast and Castles routes to date) and I'm a fairly experienced hillwalker, currently ticking off the Wainwrights with friends when our diaries happen to coincide.
But I would love to get away more often for days out and, later, for weekends when life settles down. Although I'm probably restricted to places an hour or two's drive from Hexham in the short-term, if you fancy joining me - male or female - please get in touch.
