I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Whaley Bridge.

My Message: Greetings
I am located on the Derbyshire/Cheshire border at Whaley Bridge in the Peak District National Park. I have decided to do plenty of walking this summer whatever the weather. I am fortunate in having all types of outdoor clothing from a lifetime of outdoor pursuits, mainly shooting. As the saying sort of goes, it is not the weather it is the inappropriate clothing that is the problem.

Extremely well travelled internationally from a career in sports marketing and can hold a conversation and even can include a few light hearted stories from some obscure parts of the world.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 40s, based near Guiseley, Leeds.

My Message: Hi
I'm Jill. I am an easygoing, friendly, fun to be with 40 year old.
I am a keen walker who would love a walking companion. Sadly, my friends do not share my interest and walking on my own isn't much fun.
I would like to explore walking routes that are reasonably close to home but would also love weekends away. I have thought about doing the coast to coast walk or the dales way loads of times but would much prefer to have someone for company, a chat and a laugh with along the way.
I am not a great navigator - but seem to manage. If I am lucky enough to meet up with a confident map reader on here..... I'll make the pack ups!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Jill

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Nantwich.

My Message: Hi,
Looking for a female walking partner of similar age, (picture would be nice!) for local walks, the Lakes, and Snowdonia,
I like to camp also, and don't mind just the basic sites, try to keep the crowds down,
plus they can be in some great places, would do wild camping if you were up for it, !
If any of this sounds like it appeals, please get in touch.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Falmouth.

My Message: West Cornwall-based newbie to this site here... recently retired from business and moved into this area. A long-time keen walker, I'm particularly fond of the SW Coast Path and am intending to do it all (by sensible sections!) Up for any walk with a bit of scenery and interest; outings including beach-going, pub lunches, history, photography, nature too... always happy to learn something new!
Also boating and sailing; hoping to have a sailboat of my own soon.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Bournemouth.

My Message: Hello, I am Angela living reasonably close to the New Forest and on the South Coast which offers some fantastic scenery and quite challenging walks. I have in the past done quite a bit of walking in the Lake District. I am fit, walking about 8 miles comfortably and am aiming to improve my fitness level, preferably with a male companion, within my area to begin with and gradually building up. I enjoy the 'outdoors' very much and taking in a pub for a drink/meal on the way. I look forward to sharing some special times and enjoying the company of a like-minded walker.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 40s, based near Huddersfield.

My Message: Hi, I'm a 42 year old guy based in West Yorkshire. I'm looking for a female walking companion to share my passion for the great outdoors and have fun, laughter and new adventures with. I'm free most weekends and head for the hills whenever possible, usually the Dales or Lakes. I've bagged a few peaks but want to do more and like walks that make me feel as though I've really earned that meal and drink in the local pub. I also love running, mountain biking and camping, and just getting the most out of the day. Please feel free to stop and say hello :)

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near London.

My Message: Hi,

I’m a black female who’s a total beginner at walking. I’m looking for single male - but I’m not looking for a date :-), or female friends to go walking with. I live in central London and I’m pretty open about where we go walking as I don’t mind sharing petrol costs to get to the walk if you drive. I don’t really know where the ideal places are to go walking so I’m looking someone who would be willing to plan and lead our walk. I’m down to earth and chatty and don’t mind if we end up in a country pub afterwards for a well deserved meal/drink. I’ve ticked the areas that I’ve heard of but I don’t mind going somewhere new.

So c’mon, get in touch and lets go walking! :-)

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Leicester.

My Message: I now feel like I have more spare time to do the Wainwrights and Munroes. It would be great if someone would like to take up this challenge with me.

I live in the Midlands of England so someone local would be good but I would be pleased to meet up at the walk.

I was thinking of spending a couple of days in the Lakes District for the Wainwrights ie Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. For Scotland I think that I would need to go for about 5 - 7 days at a time.

I do not walk at a very fast pace.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Newcastle Upon Tyne.

My Message: I work to live and live to walk. I'd love to meet any guy who'd like to walk with me. I love to walk in the Lakes, Dales, Howgills, Peak District, North Pennines, Northumberland areas as they are within day-driving distance. I would also love to walk in Wales and Scotland but I couldn't do those areas as day walks!

I'm easy going, easily pleased (show me a waterfall!) and easy maintenance. I am free to walk at weekends and can often walk midweek too.

I will be walking half of the C2C beginning 25th August 2012 and intend to walk the whole route next year.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Exeter.

My Message: Hello all, I’m looking to meet up with anyone (not groups) for a walk or two in my home County of Devon or nearby Cornwall or Somerset. Happy to walk any distance from 3 to 8 miles to start with, maybe more later, but I do like to take stops to enjoy the scenery and take photo's. Map reading is not one of my strong points but I’m keen to learn. Will happily share the delights of a few local walks I know of but also wish to discover new routes, rain will not put me off. Free most weekends and time off in the week is a possibility with enough notice. Looking forward to meeting some of you.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Hinckley.

My Message: Hi I am Ellen, widowed and live near Hinckley (Leicestershire) although Scotland is my native home. I am looking to make new friends and perhaps find someone special who has a similar outlook on life to me. I enjoy all sorts of walking and have just completed the West Highland Way climbing Ben Nevis as a finale. I have recently been trekking in Nepal in the Annapurna Range BUT I am equally happy exploring the hidden parts of the UK.

My other interests are running, keeping fit, gardening and most things involving the outdoor life. I also enjoy travel to far flung places.

I have a strong sense of adventure and look forward to hearing from anyone who finds my profile interesting!!

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near Lewes.

My Message: Hi, probably, like most people on this site, i'm just getting back into walking, after an absence of about 12 months, my last hike was around 26 miles, completed in around 7 hours, along part of the South Downs way, and it really was like walking a marathon ! I hope this doesn't deter prospective walking buddies from replying to my ad. I'm quite happy walking any distance, over any type of terrain, in any kind of weather, wether it be 4 miles, or 24 miles, as long as the company is good, and there's a rewarding pint of local ale, in a cosy little hostelry at the end of it.
I consider myself quite fit, i do a bit of indoor climbing, mountain-biking, the occasional bit of camping, and although it doesn't require much physical exertion, like to fish. I would definitely be up for the odd weekend further afield, camping, or in a bandb, and am quite willing to jump on a train to rendezvous, (i drive, but currently car-less).
So, i'm looking for a regular hiking buddy, male, or female, must be easy-going, and have a pretty good sense of humour. I work full-time, Mon, till midday Friday, so weekend walking is best for me.
Think that pretty much covers it, if you'd like to know more, or would like to hook-up for a hike, drop me a line, i'd love to hear from you. All the best, Jim

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Stockton-on-tees.

My Message: Hi there. I'm hoping to find male or female walking companions for weekend day walking. I must admit, I'm a little out of practice, so you would have to go easy on me at first! My partner and I enjoyed walking together - we have walked in the North Yorkshire Moors, the Yorkshire Dales, The Lake District, Snowdonia, and the Sierra Nevada mountains in Andalucia. But sadly, following a long illness, I lost her to cancer at the start of this year. I do miss walking, but cannot face doing it on my own, so I would be very grateful to any good samaritans out there!

I am a Male Walker, in my early 30s, based near Birkenhead.

My Message: I'm looking for a walking partner to enjoy walking with. I'm not too worried about the type of walking, I'm happy with anything from gentle urban exploration all the way up to taking on Snowdon or a Lake District Fell.

I work during the week, so generally have to concentrate on weekends or evenings, but I have most of these free. I'm a little limited in terms of transport, which is why I can only travel to nearby areas at present, but I also love camping, so when I have the time I like to take an extended break to North Wales, the Lakes or further afield. Most of my walking at present though is in the North Wales border area or Cheshire.
