I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Brixham.

My Message: Although I enjoy walking with groups, I would love to find a male companion to walk and talk with. I particularly enjoy coastal walks. I live in Brixham in Devon, but would be happy to drive further afield to meet up. My interests, other than walking include rock, pop and blues music, the cinema, particularly low-budget and foreign films, current affairs, France and Spain and having a giggle.

I often walk with my daughter's Husky so if you would like to go for some walks and ideally you like dogs then please get in touch.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Pinxton.

My Message: Hi I'm looking for a walking mate to share walks in Derbyshire and the Lake District. I walk at the weekends, don't mind what the weather is like, flat or hills but I love to walk at the side if a stream. I like to look at the scenery and not rush about. Really don't like to route March, like a good chat or walk quiet I don't mind. I like to get off the beaten track and away from the crowds. Love to feel the fresh air and take in the scenery. Not so good at map reading i do have to work at it but I do honestly really enjoy it. I love looking at maps and I enjoy planning walks and finding my way around and would love to plan and navigate walks with someone who feels the same. I would like to discover new places to walk this year and am willing to travel to discover fresh places, I'm willing to camp. If this appeals please get in touch. Happy walking Mandy

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Teesside.

My Message: Hello there, I am looking for company - preferably male so he can help carry the picnic- to walk in North Yorkshire or the Lake District at weekends. I drive a desk all week so only escape for weekends and holidays. In recent years my walking has mostly been in the Lakes( I have managed a few Wainwrights although for me it's more about enjoying the fresh air and scenery than ticking the boxes) but would like to see more of the North Yorkshire moors and the Dales as they are closer to my home on Teesside but I realise I do not make the most of them! If any of this strikes a chord please drop me a line :) T

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Devon.

My Message: Having recently lost my regular walking buddy to a new romance I am looking for a companion who is keen to share ' Days to remember'! I am lucky to have lots of friends locally who enjoy sharing the great outdoors but I am keen to find a special someone who will perhaps have time to walk more of the world with me. I do have some basic navigational skills which I am keen to develop alongside a trusted companion who would be happy to face those unexpected times of adversity together and find rays of sunshine in wet mountain days!
I generally love to be active and outdoors and am always curious to see what's around the corner. I am as happy walking to the end of the road on a moonlit night as I am to share a wet dog by an open fire or a view from a bivey bag bed on a mountain top!
I live near the Dartmoor national park but have walked in the Pyrenees, Scotland, Wales and the Lakes and would be happy sharing adventures around the UK and Europe although I might be persuaded to go further afield.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near Liverpool.

My Message: I’m an enthusiastic lover of hiking, scrambling and more recently camping.

Looking for walking buddies (mainly female or a small group) to explore Snowdonia (all year round). Have done the Snowdon horseshoe twice and the following routes many times; Watkin Path, Miners’ Track, Pyg Track and the Llanberis Path. One of the best experiences was walking alone up Snowdon at night for sunrise and not encountering anyone on the way or on the summit. Sunrise - breathtaking! Well I tell a fib, I did encounter three people (very briefly) whilst on the summit (before sunrise) who appeared to be running up - all I could see was the beam of light from their headlamps. Reminded me of the woods scene in E. T. the movie. They asked me to take their photo as evidence - the last leg of their 3 Peak’s Challenge!! I do like challenges but more importantly for me it’s the beauty of Snowdonia that makes me return several times a year - I can never tire of the place!

Future spring/summer walks - Tryfan, Bristly Ridge and the Snowdon horseshoe (horseshoe also at night - only in excellent conditions on a clear night with moonlight).

Havn’t done any scrambling in Scotland but would love to do the Cuillin Ridge traverse and the An Teallach traverse.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 40s, based near East Grinstead.

My Message: Hi am a married mother of 5 who's looking for a weekday walking companion. I am also interested in the occasional weekend walking in the mountainous areas of England and Wales. I can navigate and enjoy wild camping and night hiking in Sussex. I have done the Tour de Trigs, Fan Dance (Summer and Winter) plus the 10 Peaks Challenge in both Brecon and Lake District. I am by no means super fit and skinny but I enjoy the challenge and ideally would like to meet like minded women who want to have a go at the impossible but do it in the spirt of I'll give it my best but its more important to have a laugh and a good time.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Birmingham.

My Message: Hi I’m Nigel a keen dog walker, by that I mean where I go so does the dog (border collie), Snowdon, kinder, Nevis, or even Sutton park (locals will know where that is), and if it’s not safe for the dog I don’t go so the Glyders are out. I work shifts so most of my walking is done locally but try to a decent hike once a month, I.e. the peak district, Staffordshire moorlands, or wales when the days are longer. Holidays tend to be in the UK but the hillier the better. I'm looking for company to share the views and conversation (I love my dog but his conversation is a bit limited) and a maybe a pint of two at the end of the day.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Glasgow.

My Message: I am just getting back to walking again after a good few years bringing up my children. I don't really want to be in a large walking group so thought I'd try this site to find someone who I could go walking with and help remind me what I used to love so much. I would prefer someone who was quite experienced and knew what they were doing with maps and compasses as, although I'm not bad at map reading, I used to leave it to my ex partner. I always loved walking in Arran and have climbed a few munros in my time. I am available mostly at weekends and some weekdays during school holidays.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 40s, based near Nottingham.

My Message: Hi, I'm Mark... I'm looking for walking buddies in the East Midlands area. I work full time, shifts for the emergency services so my days off vary. Most of my friends work during the week so if i'm on rest days then i'm often walking on my own... don't mind this but it would be good to find others to hook up with for a walk, pint, chin wag..... (also free some weekends) I'm very easy going, got loads of interests and a very broad humour. I walk fairly often in the peaks and have also walked in the lakes, North Yorks and Scotland. I usually follow the guides on this site although can just about read a map! I'm fairly fit and usually choose walks 12-15k, don't mind a tough walk or a nice chilled one... Hope to hear from you.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Nr Glasgow.

My Message: Hi, I live near Glasgow and would like some company to explore new places walking and cycling. I like the chat but I am not keen on large walking groups so thought I would give this site a go. I am relatively fit and while I like the challenge of getting to the top for the views I also enjoy gentle walks and the relaxing well earned drink at the end of the day in a pub or a good tea room. I have done various walks in Scotland and the Lake district but useless at navigation relying on previous walking partners to make sure I got back home, another good reason I don't walk alone. So please get in touch if you also want some company, I work full time so only available at weekends.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Portsmouth.

My Message: Hi, my name is Dave. Having given up work to be a full time carer for my wife who had Motor Neurone Disease, I now sadly find I have a lot of spare time on my hands and would like to get back outdoors walking in company with one or more like-minded people. I am active and healthy, with interests in walking and hiking, cycling, and sailing. For now I am looking for friendship or companionship for day or weekend walking. In due course I would like to find someone for longer hiking trips, either in the UK or abroad. Used to regularly walk up to 10 - 12 miles per day in the hills, although I am very happy to do shorter and flatter walks especially initially as my legs probably need a bit of retraining.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near N.E Lincolnshire.

My Message: Looking for someone to share a walk with, most distance, pace and terrain.Have been talked into walking the Camino De Santiago across Spain for a second time 2016, having done it in 2012, so need to get out and build my fitness up again.Really I'm looking for regular walking buddies to share the experience and fun with, however if the right person literally walks into my life then that is great too.I love the outdoors and try and get out as much as possible, often with the rabid mutt,my little crazy dog. When not working, walking or dreaming,I can be found painting or crafting, so the odd visit to a art gallery, craft show or theatre/concert is also a passion for me.Love music of many genres and Love to laugh and seek the funnier things in life, also the simple things, a good sunset, open fire or even the odd night under the stars cooking with good company and good food.I have lived a life of many adventures and changes and still have more to explore, quite a gypsy heart at times, slowly settling down a little, would like to share the next adventure with someone preferably. I am pretty flexible with work, can be available most weekends and sometimes week days. Don't mind a good hard walk as a training day but do also love a steady stroll to take in the scenery and the sounds. Walking to me is many things. a time to think, a time to push myself, a time to get away from the madness of the other world, a time to be alone or most importantly a time to share with people of many paths in life.
At the moment I'm in Lincolnshire but looking at moving south next year, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall direction so heading down that way soon for a recce and maybe the odd walk or two, if anyone down that way cares to join me for a walk or has some suggestions that would be great.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Cheltenham.

My Message: 50yr old male looking for anyone to walk with, male or female but preferably around my age (give or take a decade). I'm a bit out of practice since I used to go on walks with a local group a few years ago but I'm fairly confident I can keep up. I would like to get back into walking but the groups are full and don't offer the flexibility, I would prefer to choose between a Saturday or Sunday. I'm in Gloucestershire and I'm happy to travel to the surrounding counties. Any distance or pace just to get me out in the fresh air but around the 7 mile mark with a rewarding pint at the end would be ideal.

I am above average on the fitness levels, know Brecon very well. I have been fortunate enough to climb Kilimanjaro, the Inca Trail, numerous mountains in Norway and closer to home the 3 Peaks.

So, looking to connect with any Brecon based females who like to blow the cobwebs off regardless of the weather

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Esher.

My Message: I (Stephen) have always loved walking in the great outdoors, but not (so far!) in any particularly organised or ambitious way. Having said that, I do try to get away on a hiking holiday in the Alps every year and for that I typically handle a climb of 1000 metres in a day and distance of 20km+ without discomfort, so I must be in fairly good shape … far better shape than I have any right to expect at my age of just turned 60.

I have literally just retired and so I now have time to indulge my joy of walking more than I have been able to do while I was working. I am hoping to find someone, or even a few, like-minded to share my enjoyment with, both locally in the Surrey/home counties area and perhaps sometimes further afield … Lakes, Wales, Scotland, abroad … anywhere really.

A good part of the enjoyment for me is the companionship, so a good chat in a suitably situated pub would be a good complement to the walking and fresh air.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Harrogate.

My Message: Hi, I'm Tony and my great passion is the British countryside and wildlife.
I love walking in the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and North York Moors.
I used to play rugby, football and basketball, but advancing years have now restricted my sporting activities to gentler pastimes such as golf, darts and snooker.
The two things at the top of my 'bucket list' (I HATE that expression!) are to climb all the Wainwrights and to see a full Ring Cycle (Now completed).
I would like to explore Wales, Scotland and Ireland and have been bitten by the multi-day walking bug, having done The Tabular Hills, Dales Way and Coast to Coast walks, and would love to do more.

My Message: Hi, I'm Angus, an experienced hillwalker. Looking for some female company on the hills. Love the Lake District and currently trying to do all the Wainwrights... at a fairly leisurely rate it has to be said as I still have 150 something to go! But happy to walk elsewhere in the north of England and south of Scotland. Usually available midweek and the occasional weekend. Like a good scramble - Blencathra by Sharp Edge is brilliant - and a cosy pub at the end of the day. Let me know if this sounds good to you.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Lytham.

My Message: Hi, I am looking to meet likeminded people for walking and camping trips. I have been into walking for almost 17 years and like nothing better than been out in the countryside. I enjoy low level walks as much as the challenge of a mountain. I have been walking with an old friend since I started in 1998 and he was the one who got me into this wonderful past time. We still go walking together but he isn’t into hitting 3 to 4 peaks in a day where as I enjoy the challenge that brings every now and then. He also doesn’t get away camping anymore so the days of doing a large mountain walk whilst camping are becoming more limited. I love camping as much as walking and combining them both is for me a fantastic experience. I spend most of my walking time in the Lakes and The Dales but I’m open to visiting other areas. I am 47 years old and have a pretty good fitness level and managed a 12 mile mountain walk in the Lakes a few weeks ago. I trekked to Everest basecamp in 2009 so the physical challenge to me is appealing. I am looking to do the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge at some point, either this year before the end of October or in Spring next year. I am also hoping to continue camping through the autumn and possibly into winter with walking as part of these trips. It would be nice to have someone to go along with. I have done some backpacking but that was many years ago where I completed the dales way with my walking friend but we did it from Bowness to Ilkley instead. I did attempt the Coast to Coast a few years ago but had to stop due to too many blisters, something I hadn’t suffered with before and haven’t since! I would also like to try doing some wild camping at some point but perhaps I would have to start with a short trek to begin with as its been a while since I carried a pack full of camping gear. I would like to attempt the coast to coast again in the not too distant future although I’m not sure I would be carrying all my equipment over such a long distance but the challenge does appeal. Anyway, I shall leave it at that for now but if you're interested in any of the above it would be great to hear from you. In the meantime, happy walking.
