I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Windsor.
My Message: I am a straight single 57 year old male with a real passion for the great outdoors. As an experienced walker and walk leader I am quite capable of finding my way around without too many mistakes, but do sometimes miss the companionship of a like minded partner to share my enjoyment of our wonderfully scenic and diverse landscapes. A perfect opportunity to explore the mix of valleys, woods, fells and moorlands; together with all the bugs, plants, birds and animals that call them home; the nearest thing we have to natural environments. The only downside is that any walking partner would have to accept the fact that due to having had to take on the role of full time (24/7) carer for an elderly relative with dementia my trips out are at the moment limited to rather short local walks some weekdays and 2 or 3 holidays each year.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Aberdeen.
My Message: Hi, I'm looking to meet fellow walkers who don't mind a wee dog coming along and a walker who doesn't really know her Corbett's from Munro's, but likes a biscuit at the top!- that's both of us. However I do walk regularly, love nature, and don't mind being outside in most weathers. I enjoy art, scuba, reading, music and am pretty easy going. I would like to extend my walking, and to share some company in doing so would be great. I'm not keen on heights so sheer ridges and summits are not for me I'm afraid, but I'm fairly fit and up for a wide range of walks, otherwise. I hope to extend some skills like map reading, compass etc without losing the enjoyment of just a good day of walking! I work full time so weekends are best, and holidays are much more flexible in the distances I can travel.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Newcastle Upon Tyne.
My Message: Hi all!
Let me introduce myself as a hillwalker returning to the sport after a lengthy absence.
I am looking to do some Munros in winter condition around the 29th of January. Until I gave up on hillwalking about ten years ago I had amassed around seventy five Munros, all done outside the winter season, so as you can guess I am a winter novice apart from doing a winter skills course more years ago than I care to remember! I am hoping someone on here will be in the Loch Tay or Drumochter Pass area at the time mentioned and would not mind me tagging along for some winter experience. I have the kit, map reading skills, cramprons, ice axe etc... I am physically fit from years of endurance road cycling and would not be a liability in any party. I would like to do something fairly non technical to begin with, maybe the Glen Lyon Munros or the Drumochter four to the west of the A9.
Look forward to hearing from you!

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Bracknell.
My Message: Hi, I'm based in Berkshire but willing to travel. I'm am interested in all sorts of walking, whether it be routes from guides or just picking up a map and heading off. Love the idea of the long distance paths, and have been working my way along the North Downs Way with a friend for a few years now - who knows we might finish this year. I started the Thames Path by accident in 2015 and have since completed approximately one third of it (Culham to Kingston) - obviously started in the middle and have been working my way backwards and forwards! I'd love to do other long distance paths such as South Downs Way, London loop, Coast to Coast and am seriously considering starting the South West Coast path this year. Happy to do them in bite sized chunks or in bigger sections. Generally most of my walking has been done solo and I'm happy with my own company, but equally like walking with others. I'd love to join up with like minded either single walkers or groups. Have been known to climb the odd mountain - Snowdon and Carauntoohil the most notable - and the Lake District is somewhere I'm keen to walk in. Look forward to hearing from any like-minded walkers.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Stourport-on-severn.
My Message: I've just come home from work, walking all day in the Worcestershire countryside in the sun with a pack of dogs, including my own. Having served my time climbing hills and mountains with groups of children in the Outdoor Education sector, I now spend my working hours walking with dogs and feel it would be good and healthy to spend my leisure time walking with adult company. About me - my name is Alison (50 next year and planning various walking trips to celebrate) and if you walk with me you walk with my Collie, Gwenon. For me its about being out there in the countryside, listening to the birds, hugging the trees, reconnecting with the natural world, catching the views as much as bagging peaks - although this is always an added bonus. I am as happy in the lowlands, in the woods, by the sea as I am navigating my way across highlands and moorland. I am a sound navigator and enjoy exploring as well as working out the maths! I enjoy exploring off the beaten track and have also been known to while away my time playing in the stream. If any of this sounds appealing and you are willing to join me being out there in the wild or not so wild, get in touch.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Skipton.
My Message: Hi,
I'm Caroline, and i'm looking for a small walking group to join. I can manage up to 10 miles, but not great on hills, ? due to asthma. A group fairly local to the Yorkshire dales area would be ideal, as i drive, but not on motorways, or into cities!
I work, Tuesday-Friday, so have quite a lot of free Mondays, and also alternate Saturdays, as my partner is a Bradford City fan!
I don't know how to search for groups specifically on this site, so if you belong to one and read this, please get in touch.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 30s, based near Birmingham.
My Message: Hi all fellow walkers! I'm a 32 year old single male looking for male or female walkers and hiking buddies to explore the local region, notably the Peak District, Parts of Wales such as the Brecon Beacons or Snowdonia and the Lakes and Beyond in the Scottish Highlands. I'm reasonably fit and active, as I run or cycle often, and have done a touch of scrambling in Wales. I'm relatively new to it all, so by no means super experienced, but I'd love to share and learn from other walkers and individuals and go and explore what the great outdoors has to offer! I can navigate ( in basic terms!) and I own a trusty walking GPS along with all mapping paraphernalia. If you'd like to meet a fun, young, fit and open minded give-it-a-go walker who will attempt anything at least once (despite my fear of heights!) then I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Penrith.
My Message: Hi
I'm looking for walking companions either m/f who are interested in 'Munro bagging' primarily, so trips up to the Highlands are a plus, but I also love mountain walking in the lovely Lake District and further afield.
I have made many trips up to the Highlands now, and walked up Munros in most of the mountain ranges, and must admit am slightly addicted to them. Although always keen to reach the top I also like to stop and enjoy the wonderful scenery and wildlife too, and I sometimes stop for shots with the camera.
I enjoy camping and youth hosteling - I find it more fun but wouldn't turn down the occasional luxury of bed and breakfast accommodation too.
Am keen to meet those interested in trips to the Highlands or walks on the fells in the Lakes or trips overseas too.
I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Ludlow.
My Message: Hello
My name is Terri
I'm new to this site and looking for new walking friends as most of my friends have now lost motivation. I am a life long walker and cannot imagine life without walking!
I live in lovely Ludlow and know the Shropshire Hills very well. I walk often in the Peak District, the Brecon Beacons and Wales all of which are within striking distance of here. I have family in France so also walk regularly in Europe particularly in the French and Spanish Pyrennees and next year have planned to do the camino from St. Jean de Luz.
I am no longer working full time but am nowhere near ready to slow down. This means I have time to travel and enjoy new walking opportunities as well as make new friends who like me, love the great outdoors.
Please contact me if you would like to walk with me either in the UK or Europe.
Bon Voyage!
Terri

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Rossendale.
My Message: I am single with a dog! Trying to find someone to walk with and build my walking legs back up. I am still up to reasonable distances - did a 14 mile hill walk a couple if weeks ago, but I don't enjoy walking on my own, or particularly with large groups. I enjoy camping etc and being off the beaten track. I am not particularly into bagging Wainrights, Munroes, Corbett etc it needs to be fun. I am redundant next year I know I can't spend an hour or more to travel to the walk until then. I am afraid it is just how it is.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Crewe.
My Message: Hi Fellow Hikers,
Aw, c'mon, I don't bite... I am still waiting to hear from those elusive, prospective walking partners!
Fifty year old female looking for walking companions in Staffordshire/Cheshire areas. I am not looking for love or an affair as I live with my partner, and am after nothing more than on a platonic basis as I am happy with the man I am with!
I prefer one-to-one or a small group company... and although I prefer male company, I am happy to have female company too...
Currently I do most of my walking in the Peak district, but would like to venture further afield also; I am up for day walks and weekend-long walks.
I like photography, riding motorbikes, land art and sculpture, Radio 4, nature, mountains, hills and the usual fab scenery.
On a personal note, I swear, sweat, am intelligent, forgetful, can be abrasive and charming, don't like bullsh*t, am very honest and what you see is what you get.
I am based in South Cheshire, have a car, and would prefer people who are local (ish) to me.
Happy to walk in all weathers... not very good at navigation but would like to learn.

My Message: Hi, I am a keen walker from West Sussex interested in hearing from or finding walking partners. I enjoy country walks in West Sussex, the South Downs and East Sussex and have a goal of completing the South Downs Way next year! I have a good pace, am fit and friendly and good company. I love connecting with the outdoors but sometimes it's more fun in company. I have days off midweek so am looking for week day afternoon walks. I am an artsy, creative type and a good listener.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Prestatyn.
My Message: Hi my name is Mai. I am 63 years old, long since divorced and happily single. Family all grown up. I'm looking to kick start my love of walking again. Walked a lot in Snowdonia and the lakes in the past but sadly have lapsed now, so not hugely fit! Would love to meet up with similar age people particularly in North Wales area. Can only do weekends as I work during the week, I am a TA. I'm easy going and chatty and definitely don't feel 63! Not very good with a map and not into route marches. Love coast or hills, though prefer country. Always a bonus to finish off with a beer! If you have a free Saturday or Sunday to enjoy the autumn glory feel free to get in touch☺

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Blundeston.
My Message: Hi, I love walking about 15 miles a day while on holiday for a week and shorter ones of around 5 miles more often. I am in a carer's group being the only man and have been used to female company, {Not looking for a relationship}, my wife has been ill for 30 years and encourages me to get out and about as much as possible, as she cannot walk far any more. I have walked peak district, south and north downs ways, St ives to Penzance via Lands End, Ridgeway, Peddars way, Icknield Path and many more. Being a good map reader loosing my way very rarely happens, so if you would like to meet up for a drink in a cafe to see if we get along please message me. Andy

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Romford.
My Message: Hi I'm Terry. What a stunning 2016. Had some lovely weather this year and it stayed pretty dry down south. Had some great walks, met some lovely people and made a few more friends. My job hasn't changed and still pretty full on during the week days so its great to get out there at the weekends. Yep I still have my trusty borders (think they will out strip me as they never want to stop) I want to try to get away a few more weekends around my call outs before crimbo then start planning 2017. I live just on the London/Essex border and I have always enjoyed walking. I try to pick on different kinds of walks that range from canal walks, Kent coast line plus long/short walks in the countryside. I try to get down to Swanage, Dorset as much as I can and love walking the Purbecks/Jurassic coast. Pubs and food are great around that area. I totally understand if you don't like walking with dogs but they are good and I enjoy meeting people while out with these energetic mutts. I am single but would still love a friend to enjoy walks in various parts of this lovely country and take in the food/pubs where ever possible. I am not really into to group walking plus a lot of groups don't allow dogs. I want to get more into camping in 2017 and look forward to having some long weekends at various different areas in the UK/Wales/Scotland and hopefully return to the Lake district for some hill bagging. Have been on this site over a year now and its nice to meet like minded people. If you fancy meeting up for a day or two walking just get in touch and lets see what we can arrange. Cheers Terry
