I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Yeovil.

My Message: Hi,
I'm 52 yet young at heart and in body (well, I'd like to think so!) I live with a slightly mad spaniel called Alba (my current walking buddy) and the occasional child when they need to escape London for the countryside. Alba and I would very much like to find some new friends to walk with, locally as well as further afield. I particularly like exploring coastal paths (have walked a small section of the SW coast path whilst on holiday in Sennen Cove this Summer) although woodland walks and moorland rambles are also favourites. I look forward to sharing the walks that I love in my beautiful home county of Somerset and being shown those favourites of my new walking friends. I think I should point out that I'm more of a rambler who welcomes the promise of a pub lunch or cream tea at the end of a spot of moderate exercise... hard core Trekkers might find me a disappointing partner therefore!
Angie.
PS: Alba would like a walking partner too, but she's equally happy with either a solo human or one with a canine friend :)

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Manchester.

My Message: Hi - am 42, happily married and living in the North West.. so not looking for romance! Am relatively fit and active and looking to build walking fitness so I can do some long distance walking next year. Thinking nice intermediate fells in Lakes rather than full on peaks in the mist, ice and rain. Have some basic map reading skills but anyone who knows more than me would be welcome! I am happy to hostel or camp and have shared ownership of a knackered tent that has seen some muddy fields.I am looking to hear from individuals (females preferred) or groups (mixed gender) to organise some walks soon.

Although i am fit and reasonably energetic, I am not a walker who covers miles and miles very fast. I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Wells.

My Message: I would love to do coast walks in Devon or Cornwall although am happy to walk other places. On my bucket list is walking the s.w coast path probably in small bits. I have own transport to get where ever. I do still work so would have to fit around this.
It would be good to walk with someone male or female confident to 'navigate' as this is what puts me off of walking to far alone.
More than happy to combine a walk with pub lunch and pint or glass of wine.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

My Message: Your Message
I have walked in Somerset and Dorset, now live in Sussex, which is overcrowded.
Now I'm hoping to explore some of the wilder areas, and find companionship to share it.

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near SE Cornwall.

My Message: Hi. I'm Jayne - divorced; kids off on their own and it's now just l'il ole Me and the dog (a very soppy and slightly arthritic Great Dane called Homer)! I'm a very keen hiker looking for some company - male or female/singles or groups to walk with, preferably other dog owners as I like to walk with the dog where possible. I really enjoy brisk, long hikes and am pretty fit. My problem is the orienteering bit; I have an appalling sense of direction and dare not venture far on my own for fear of getting lost! I live in Millbrook on the Rame Peninsula in SE Cornwall and particularly LOVE walking by the sea!

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Milborne Port.

My Message: Hi
My Name is Geof. I am a 65 year male. Based in Milborne Port, Somerset. I like to walk at least one day a week, up to 8 - 10 miles typically at a reasonable pace if its easy going, a little less and more slowly if hilly. But I do like to stop and enjoy the scenery and the wildlife and usually with a pub visit somewhere on route.
I am free most weekdays and weekends for walks anywhere in the South Coast counties, and with the right company am interested in some longer walks in other parts of the country. I am retired so have all the time in the world for walking. I also recently bought a 33ft yacht, kept in the Solent, and like to sail as much as possible. Also have a motorhome which is an excellent basis for walking further afield anywhere in UK or Europe. I would like to find a companion to spend some time walking locally and further afield, as well as a first mate for sailing. Friendship, walking buddy, or more. Who knows?

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Crawley.

My Message: Hi. I am relatively new to this walking malarky so I am looking for strolling partners, male and female, who are a similar age to myself (hopefully I will be able to keep up that way!) and who can introduce me gently into this wonderful pastime. Unfortunately my friends haven't fallen in love with hill walking as I have so this seemed the perfect way to meet and make new friends.
I am a single straight female who works far too hard during the week so I need to escape my cell (pet name for my office incase you were getting worried!) at the weekends and there is no better way of doing that than exploring this beautiful country whether that be walking or cycling.
The Lake District has to be my all time favourite but I am happy to be proven otherwise! I am easy company and would appreciate buddies with a crazy sense of humour and zest for life that would match my own! Looking for walks that range from 5-10 miles although happy to do more if necessary and like most on here I enjoy the mandatory pit stop at a pub or tea room! If you can identify with any of the above it would be lovely to hear from you.

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near St Clears.

My Message: Hi
I'm Helen. I live in Carmarthenshire. Looking for someone to enjoy leisurely walks with.
I love the coast with it's magnificent views as well as walks around reservoirs and along rivers and canals. If I see any wildlife it's always a bonus.
I may be up longer walk but as I haven't done much walking recently I have opted for the more leisurely options.
Just want to get out there and see our beautiful sights.
Thanks for reading, if it sounds like your sort of walk please get in touch.

I am a Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Hayle.

My Message: Hello, I've recently moved to West Cornwall from London and looking forward to exploring new areas of the South West (Cornwall primarily but also Devon and Somerset). My favourite type of walks are coastal, but I also enjoy the contrast of deeper countryside and moors. Stopping off for a quick visit to the pub or cup of tea is never a bad thing, in my opinion!

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Chulmleigh.

My Message: Hi, I'm James from North Devon. Walking has really helped me to recover my strength and stamina after a long period of illness. Dartmoor is right on my doorstep and I have been making a determined effort this year to get to know it better. Wild camping on the moor has a deeply therapeutic effect on me - underlining the importance of keeping things simple and in balance.

I usually walk alone, my friends are usually busy, and I think some company would be nice. Dartmoor is a wonderful playground that I would never tire of but I am happy to try anywhere in the UK that I can reach by train. I have a spare tent that I can lend out if you are not sure whether camping is your thing but would like to give it a go without spending lots of money. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Beverley.

My Message: Hi 52. Looking initially to do some of the national trails - ideally 3 - over the summer of this year (2014). Open to other suggestions, but the plan is Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast, then Cotswolds and finally either the Hadrian's Wall walk, or Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

A lot of history - but that is the problem - it is history! So fitness has slid away, and I am looking to put that right as gently as possible. Add in a splash of photography for my own travelogue, and basically you have it. Gentle walks over some distance (anticipating camping as a default) with frequent photo stops.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Tucson, Az Usa.

My Message: Hello Walkers (female & male)

I'm a desert-dwelling American hoping to arrange some walks for a holiday upcoming this summer. My dates are 27 June until 13 July. The only date I'm unavailable to walk is 3 July, when I have a London meeting.

Though I have some interest in Hadrian's Wall, I am open to walking in any part of the UK to which I can take public transport or hitch a ride, and where a good pint is never far off. I'm keen to find good company and lots of 'exotic' (non-arid!) scenery.

So, if you're looking for a walking buddy, or care to be a tour-guide for a visitor, please drop me a line!

Best,

Leigh

I am looking for a walking companion, ideally female but not exclusively, to experience some of the great walks around this region. I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Calne.

My Message: Hi My name is Alan and i'm looking for walking buddies in the Wiltshire area initially as this is where i live but i also have contacts with the New Forest. I am enthusiastic though so i'm sure this will expand in no time and often my work can take me various locations. I have done quiet a few walks along the ridgeway both day and night and often like to take photos but nothing too excessive that it ruins the vibe of the walk. Weekends are more tricky as i have a wife and family who i prefer to spend my time with however i'm a freelancer so weekdays can be flexible and often when i like to walk but my preference is to do this with people. i live in Calne and look forward to hooking up with anyone in the area soon.
