I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Chesterfield hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: Hiya, I'm Lynn alias 'Miss Outdoorsy' as staying at home drives me up the walls! I like anything outdoors, love adventure & travel & my passion is mountains. I love the ridge & scrambling routes & have done Crib Goch, Snowdon, Striding Edge & Swirral Edge, Sharp Edge in Lakes to name a few. I've done a lot of walking in Peaks, Snowdonia, Lakes, Brecons, Yorkshire Dales & love them all. I'm just as happy with a hike in the Peaks as scrambling up Sharp Edge. I live near Chesterfield so Peaks & Yorkshire Dales are easy for me to get to but I don't mind travelling. Im very easy going with good sense of humour & like the well deserved stop in the pub at the end of the walk! Well I'm Scottish after all! Would love to hear from you for hiking soon.

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Wirral hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I'm an adventurous hiker, walking long distances but also chill out shorter strolls in North Wales, Peak District and Lake District. I'm wishing to meet a female walker friend maybe more who enjoys long walks and which we can enjoy the beautiful countryside and mountains of Britain. I'm currently after Marilyn's in the UK, walking usually on weekends but have a week in the Lake District coming up in late September. If you would like a week of walking please contact me.
I'm active away from walking being a keen cyclist, I enjoy history and visiting places of interest. I'm very fit, having long legs means I cover distances quicker than most but also love a good scramble and prefer clear weather as I enjoy the views from a good summit.
I've climbed Mt Snowdon, Carnedd Llewelyn, Pen yr Ole Wen, hills of Church Stratton Shropshire and hope to doing some long walks in Lake District September 2019. Some female company would be preferred so we both can enjoy some stunning scenery.
If interested please message me. I'm a keen walker who enjoys the outdoors and would like to share it with someone.

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Lincoln Ln2 hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: Hi, my name is Yvonne I'm 58 and I'm at my most content when walking. I have a 5 year old obedient golden lab called Billie Piper and a nervous rescue dog (collie cross) called Jessica - she's from Romania. Ordinarily we like to take a "decent walk" at week-ends and enjoy the great outdoors (a pub en-route is always a bonus). We often walk around the local Hartsholme Country Park but also enjoy the Wolds and further afield.
I had surgery on my ankle August 2019 so it will be while until I can walk long distance (probably Spring 2020) but I'm already walking a short distance daily - just locally
Would love some company; I like chatting as well as silence.
I look forward to hearing from you...

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Birmingham hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I currently live in south Birmingham, and would like to walk more than I currently do - I spend far too much time sitting on the sofa just thinking about places I'd like to go to.
I'm only looking for friends, either for local walks or further away - I'm currently working my way through the Wainwrights and am half way through - so I'm particularly interested in fell walking friends.
I don't consider myself a particularly experienced or confident walker, but can read a map and feel happy to be out in the fells on my own - I do most of my walking alone at the moment.
I love nature and wildlife - and am often behind a camera when I'm not walking. I'm vegan, so perhaps not the right choice of walking partner if you're wanting to go for a Sunday roast afterwards, although I'm more than happy to have a post walk beer.
I'm a teacher, and it would be particularly good to meet others who are looking to walk in the holidays.

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Thirsk hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello fellow walkers - I am looking for a female walking companion for leisurely walks in the countryside, around about about 6 miles or so in length, both in my home county of Yorkshire and further afield. I am not looking for a challenge but simply to enjoy the beauty of the countryside and the fresh air, with stops to admire the views and appreciate nature. Also enjoy coastal walks, rivers and canals. Tea and cake at a quaint teashop or even a pub meal would round off the day nicely. Definitely not a sporty individual, although I do enjoy swimming, I have varied interests including reading, the arts particularly theatre and cinema, crafts especially knitting, history and architecture, railways and vintage cars, travel both in the UK and abroad, animals especially cats. I have numerous walking books for my own area and have reasonable map reading skills. As I am now retired, I can walk on some weekdays, as well as on the weekend.

My Message: Love walking from the flats to the hills. Walked snowdon 5 times in the past. Love the Peak District as much as the forests. Don't drive but don't let it stop me... hence jump a train to go out for the day to places Long Mynd..Mam Tor...Kinder Scout. I equally enjoy the sitting and taking in the view. Looking to meet up with anyone who enjoys a stroll and loves the countryside. I have been fortunate to have been well travelled around Scotland and Wales and camping in the process. I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Bourne/buxton hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: Hello, I'm Ian. I'm an experienced walker who enjoys walks of 8 miles and upwards. My girlfriend is unable to walk this far due to foot problems, so I am looking for a walking buddy for long walks as I enjoy a bit of companionship and chat as I go. I live in Lincolnshire but also have a house in Buxton and a caravan in Norfolk so am well placed for the Peak District, Norfolk and much of the Midlands. I like to walk at a good pace in all conditions and like to keep moving - I'm not much of a one for taking breathers! My Message: I`m a 55 year old female (physically but mentally somewhat younger!) looking for a walking buddy in Herefordshire. I enjoy walks in the Black Mountains, Brecons, Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. At the moment I can only do weekends but after the end of March will have some weekdays free too. I like hill and mountain walking but feel a bit nervous going alone without a companion to stop me getting lost or falling off a mountain! Enjoy a good chat and a laugh? Come and get lost with me!

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Northamptonshire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello, UPDATE - would anyone like to walk together up Ben Nevis on Monday 3rd September 2018? Very last minute idea. Would like to walk the tourist path. Not confident enough to tackle alone due to lack of navigation skills. Mountain forecast for Monday seems fine. Pls message me if interested!
Hello, I am single, currently living in the Northamptonshire area and would like to meet male or female walking partners to explore more of the UK. Have been a member of this site for a few years but returning to it after an absence. I am open to suggestions and able to travel.I have done a fair amount of walking in far flung places abroad and some here in the UK (Snowdon and Peak District), reasonably fit, can do a bit of scrambling but am not a climber. Am open to BandBs, hostels or possibly camping, though I am not an experienced camper and don't yet have equipment! My map and navigation skills are not good, so would welcome someone with these skills so we don't get hopelessly lost. I am easy going and enjoy cafe's/coffee shops and a country pub but am not a big drinker.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Newbury hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: Hi! I'm a fun-loving, adventurous guy living in Newbury, Berkshire. I'm happy walking alone, but it's so much more fun (and better conversation) with two so I'm looking for male or female friends to join me on walks locally (around Berks/Hants/Wilts) or further afield (anywhere really - from Cornwall to Scotland, Snowdonia to Norfolk).
I also enjoy scrambling (tho' not great with heights), cycling (more off-road than on), camping (wild or civilised), flying kites - I'm essentially very adaptable! I'm happy to explore any areas of the UK - the wilder the better - so if you're interested in joining me then please drop me a line.
ps: I love dogs and have my own, but he's not great with distances so tends to stay at home mostly, unless it's a short walk and my company likes dogs.
My Preferred Walk Grades*: 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8:9:
My Preferred Walk Areas:
North West Scotland; North East Scotland; North East England; North West England; Yorkshire; The English Midlands; Wales; East Anglia; The Heart of England; South East England; South West England;
(click each link to see other walkers wanting to walk there)
A bit more about me:
I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops.
I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on.
I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other.
I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good.
I can drive and have a car.

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near South London hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: Hi There, I'm looking to meet new people/friends to go on some nice walks or camping/kayaking adventures with in the UK or abroad. I live in London but grew up in the country and I'm struggling to find people that love the outdoors and escaping the city as much as I do, or that don't have other responsibilities. I am happy hiking all day or multi day hikes, I also love a bit of kayaking, bouldering, pretty much anything that burns a bit of energy and I am more than happy to drive wherever for a nice walk and chat. If you fancy a walk or a little adventure I would love to hear from you!

A bit more about me:
When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it.
I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on.
I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other.
To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average.
I can drive and have a car.

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Brighton hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: White male aged 66, 40 years walking experience, living in Sussex, fit and friendly seeks to meet an adventurous male or woman walking companion aged about 40+ for walking local and national trails together in the UK and in Europe. Any individual willing to explore the hidden and interesting bye ways of Britain, if warm sleep out during the summer and enjoy a few beers at the end of a days challenging walking, before England and Wales become so sanitized it will look like a theme park( see George Monbiot).
Probably suitable for someone living in London or the South-East but, but if practicable, I would not exclude other contacts from around the country. Most important is the love of the countryside, coastal paths and Highlands of Scotland, quiet places and friendly conversation.

Sorry, but I really do not like walking with Dogs.

I can drive but do not have access to a vehicle.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Lichfield hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: 50 year old single, professional female looking for male/female friends to walk with. Not keen on walking in groups - prefer the company of just one or two others. Things just get straggly in groups don't they? I have dogs and am happy to walk with or without them. I also have a 15 year old human and am happy to walk with/without teen humans (mine is often reluctant but might be tempted if we find a like-minded companion). I have had quite a long spell of not walking following both an Achilles then back injury sustained in unrelated unfortunate events, so I'm pleased to be back in my boots! Have car and happy to lift-share or not. Saturdays are often marginally better for me than Sundays but that's not set in stone, or shorter after work walks in lighter evenings. Other interests include travel, cooking, good wine, reading, music (live and local, often folky or indie by preference), cinema. One day I'd like to begin having a go at a long distance walk or two, so if I find a companion who'd be up for that too it would be great - but not a dealbreaker if you only fancy one-day walks.

I am a Walker, in my early 30s, based near Staffordshire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: Hi. I am looking at meeting up with people who are keen to go walking. I don't drive and as such, that mostly limits me to the Peak District and the Lake District (and spending a couple of days (overnight in a hostel) is even better due to time constraints of public transport), but otherwise i can go anywhere. I consider myself reasonably fit and have some ability to read a map but it is not perfect! I get to where i want to go. I like challenging and adventurous walking, however it's not important to me that anyone else does; the company is important! I'm not super-experienced in hill-walking either; but i have done some.
Apart from that i am also looking to walk the Pennine Way (in it's entirety), maybe there is someone else interested in that too?

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Woodford Green hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I am Matt and I live on the outskirts of London on the edge of Essex. I am looking for a walking buddy of any age (preferably female as I enjoy female company- on a platonic basis) as my previous walking partner has moved overseas and I am keen to try and start walking more regularly again.
My friends are either tied up with family or not walkers and while I sometimes enjoy walking alone I also enjoy conversation as well as a good laugh.
I am used to walking coastal walks or rural walks in the home counties and have walked in Buckinghamshire, Essex, Kent, East Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire but don't have much experience of hills/peaks although am keen to try. I am comfortable walking 12-15 miles and have walked 20 miles on a couple of occasions albeit on flat terrain.
I have an average level of fitness which I want to improve. I am keen to walk in the South East/home counties but could also venture further afield to East Anglia, South West or Midlands (anywhere within 2-3 hrs drive really) as I have a car and enjoy driving. I would be keen to maybe try some longer paths/routes like SWCP or similar but above all else want to have fun and be outdoors with like-minded people.
I work full time in the week so weekends are best although I could take the odd day off from time to time. My other interests include yoga, swimming, reading, art, music and cinema.
If anyone is keen to plan a day out soon then please contact me :)

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Burntwood.
My Message: Hi Ive been a member of this site for sometime and am just returning to it from a long absence.
I particularly enjoy walking and camping in the Peak District and the Brecon Beacons.
I was in the military for a long time so enjoy all levels of gradient and am up for a challenge, most of the time.
I love to take my dogs with me when I walk although the border terrier (Laughing Gravy) is getting a little old now.
I'm out of the UK a lot and so finding friends to walk with can be difficult.
I hope that I can arrange meets with similar minded people for long mountainous walks and strolls.
