I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Crewe hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Greetings fellow walkers *waves*
I got into walking proper about 6 years ago and never looked back! I generally walk at the weekends unless I have time off work, when I'll fit in walks more frequently, and prefer the less well known walks, loving paths that aren't so obvious on the ground.
I go to the gym a couple of times a week and I'm pretty fit so I like a nicely paced walk but also stop to look back frequently (amazing how many people miss fantastic views by not doing this) and to take photographs … I like to blog about my walks if I find them particularly interesting. Not sure many people read the blog but I find it fun to do.
I walked the Sandstone Trail a couple of years ago … 3 days walking with a couple of sleep overs at pubs. That was fun and I'd like to do similar again, probably on sections of the Coast to Coast or the Welsh Coastal Path for starters.
I visit Wales and Cumbria at least once a year so plan walks for when I go. My most walked areas are the Snowdonia National Park, the Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales. Cheshire also has some nice walks and it's not quite as flat as people would have you believe!
Be warned, I do like to chat and I have a dry sense of humour … so I will either be fun to walk with or seriously annoying depending on your outlook!
Safe walking everybody.

P.S. For the avoidance of confusion seeing as I'm looking for male & female walking companions but open for relationships should the circumstances arise, I am heterosexual so sorry guys!

A bit more about me:

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. Sorry, but I really do not like walking with Dogs. To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Midlands hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Being sat at a desk most days I'm keen to get outside and enjoy the amazing scenery we have in our beautiful country. Initially day walks to improve my fitness. I work part time and do have a day off midweek so would love to get out enjoy the company of others whilst walking.
Based in the East Midlands mid week walks ideally would be within an hours drive. Weekends further a field.
Years ago used to walk with a group but it became too big for my liking.
I love being outdoors, there's nothing better that a lovely long walk and a meal afterwards. Appreciated all the more in the current Covid climate!
As my fitness improves (It's not bad but plenty of room for improvement)I love to bag a few peaks.

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Lincolnshire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I love walking, everything about it. What could be better than sitting down with a glass of wine and planning a walk.
Then there's the excitement of arriving at your walks starting point (usually a pub car park if it's a circular walk)
The anticipation as you lace up your boots and the adrenaline rush as you set off on your way. The endorphins kick in, you get warm, remove a layer ( i can never work out exactly the right clothes to walk in )
The scenery is beautiful, you catch a glimpse of a deer, a buzzard, a moth or a cowslip.
I often get lost ( Its not getting lost, its going on an adventure) i usually get muddy and sometimes i fall over.
Then there's the relief as your sore feet sense the end of the walk. A nice pint and a pack of crisps or nuts, maybe a meal by a fire.
These are all wonderful things, but so much more when shared with a like minded friend.

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Beaconsfield hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I am looking for new friends to explore the UK with, as I've exhausted(literally !!) my current friends, many of whom prefer short walks. During this corona lockdown I've averaged 30 miles a week - better than baking any day. My job is cabin crew, often I have 3 days off during the week with the occasional weekend. I especially love coastal walks, but am good with any terrain, just happy to be walking. I'd like to do more multi day hikes, no problem camping or staying in BnBs. I've carried a big back pack but also had it transported. I've hiked the Anna Purna Circuit and part of he Camino de Santiago, always looking for new adventures.

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near London hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello! My name is Umesh and I am keen to find someone to explore hiking trails with over, in particular, over the next few months given we can't travel overseas.

I'm a keen hiker and amateur mountaineer (last year I climbed Mont Blanc and Kili) but really just enjoy getting out into nature and it doesn't have to be too strenuous. When we are allowed, I'd ideally like to do a bit more exploring in the Lakes and perhaps further afield in Scotland and Wales.

I'm not working at the moment so have plenty of time on my hands although that could change. I'm currently studying for my WSET level 3 wine course so am a bit tied up with that over the next few weeks but looking for some adventures in July!

I am interested in meeting male or female friends to go walking with, especially now the warmer weather is approaching (provided that this lockdown eventually ends). I am based in Lancashire however I can drive and have a car so I am willing to go further afield. I am a bit out of practise with walking very long distances as my friends are not the hiking-types so I've struggled to find people to go with me in the past. I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Buxton hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I'm Chris, from Manchester, now exiled in Buxton! Married happily for 30 years, and living with the wife and Jim the dog. Made redundant last year after some 25 years at IBM but have plans to get back to work eventually. For now, I'm enjoying my time off. We both (the wife and I) have a passion for the countryside, Scotland and the Peak District in particular. Unfortunately due to health issues my wife is now unable to do much walking - aside from pottering around the villages etc. While I'm certainly no major league trekker myself, I am fond of a brisk stroll around the hills and valleys of the peaks whenever I can, taking in the air, views and fascinating archaeological sites. Be nice to have someone to chat with along the way, so, I'm looking for someone, male/female, any age, in a similar position, who may be up for the occasional (none too arduous) stroll and fancies sharing their own favourite walks with another interested party? Weekdays or weekends, meet there, arrange pickup, whatever, I'm flexible on all that stuff. Drop me a line if interested, thanks.

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Bamford hoping to meet just Male new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I love living and working in the Peak District and have walked a fair
Few routes over the years. I have the most appalling sense of direction but I am
happy to follow someone who can actually read an OS map. I love walking and also swimming but exercise has taken a back seat for a while for all sorts of reasons. I also love having a good matter and a laugh. I am available most weekends and I could make Wednesday afternoons if it fits in with other walkers. I have travelled reasonably extensively and in my younger days climbed in various parts of the world. I would like 2020 to be the start of a new chapter in my life and would really enjoy some company and direction on walks!!! Looking forward to hearing from you soon

My Message: Hi. I'm an easy-going romantic with a love of the countryside - high rugged areas, green and pleasant lands, peaceful valleys and windswept ridges. Not averse to a few home comforts, nice BandBs, concerts, cooking, camping if needs must. Working, but lots of spare weekdays and weekends, plenty of ideas of what I want to do more of - visits to the Highlands, Wales, and anywhere else that takes my fancy. It would be nice to share these good times with a like-minded, independent female. You will find me (I hope) considerate, good-humoured and honest.

A bit more about me:

I quite enjoy Scrambling & Edges but don't like too much exposure. I'm happy to walk in most weathers but do not like snow and ice. Sorry, but I really do not like walking with Dogs. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Northamptonshire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi,
I am planning a weeks hiking in the German Alps in southern Bavaria in May 2020 and would like to share this experience. I stumbled across this area by chance when looking for something to do prior to a 'Night of the Proms' concert in Munich in Dec 2019. I made 3 all day hikes in what turned out to be a snowbound Winter wonderland and would like to discover what it is like in the Spring.
In preparation I am planning a few all day walks Feb - Apr 2020 in the Peak District and possibly the Lake District.
I am 66 years old and reasonably fit. I do not route march in fact quite the opposite. I would think my pace on the flat is 2 to 3 miles an hour and a lot less going up mountains. If you are interested in joining me or just want to find out more please feel free to contact me.

A bit more about me:

When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. Sorry, but I really do not like walking with Dogs. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Skiing and/or Snowboarding

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Wolverhampton hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi

I enjoy walking and scrambling in the UK, and simply looking for a handful of friends to enjoy some company with in the hills.

I've climbed, scrambled and walked in the UK and abroad but now I'm getting older just simply looking for someone to walk with, midlands based ideally to allow for evening meets in the summer.

I'm in Wolverhampton so many areas are fairly accessible.

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Oakham, Rutland hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi everyone, I would love to meet up with other people to walk - virtually anywhere. I particularly love hill-walking (Scotland, Lakes and Snowdonia my favourite) and have bagged some 3000fters, but am keen to walk anywhere. Friends and family are just not hikers. Even my dog is ageing so much that a short walk around the park will satisfy him (he stays at home/in the car when I walk).

I love camping, hiking in beautiful scenery, and would love some company. I have a car and am happy to travel, although of course if you are closer to me meeting up for a day hike will be easier. With a busy work schedule, I am generally a weekend walker but will take time off when I get a walking opportunity that is too good to miss.

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Stourbridge hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I like to get out and enjoy some seclusion, to take in the surroundings for a change of pace, without the clamour and rush of town life. Quite happy to walk anywhere, sometimes with the whippet, sometimes not. Walking parties of two, threes or fours are my kind of thing, and I venture out on my own a little as well.
If I can get a bit of photography in of the scenery that's great, but not essential. Beautiful scenery and weather are appreciated, but being out is just as important. At the moment building up fitness again after a quiet period and crocking an ankle.

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Colchester hoping to meet just Male new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello, I love the outdoors, nature, birdwatching and walking. I'm a bit of an eco warrior and try to contribute to conservation in my own small way. I am pretty fit and sometimes have too much energy for my own good. I jog a few miles each week, I'm on a fitness program at a gym and I do Pilates. I also like swimming but only really in the sea or in open water. I have a little Romahome campervan and I spent a lot of time away in it this summer. I'd like to meet a like-minded gentleman who enjoys a walk and good conversation. If you like to dive into a tea shop at the end of a walk, that's even better! I'm happy with about 7 miles a day. Over 10 miles is a bit far - but that's not to say I would rule longer distances out. My other interests are art and visiting galleries, volunteering for my local wildlife trust, beekeeping and lots of other things, too many to list here.
