I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Clitheroe, Whalley, Accrington, Padiham.
My Message: I am a single 44yr old male looking for a walking partner around 38-46yrs for local general walks and some more challenging mountain ones in the lakes etc. At the moment due to work i can only walk some sundays or mondays for more distant walks but most evenings for shorter local walks.
I am a keen photographer so sometimes take some camera kit so may wish to stop for the odd shot. I havent done many mountainous walks recently as no one to do them with so may need breaking in again.
If you interested drop me a line.
Jonathan

I am a Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Loughborough.
My Message: I have recently moved house and started a new job and I am looking to find new friendships and have some time out exploring the countryside. I love the outdoors. I am open to walk further afield, but would like to start in the East Midlands. I'm married and have two children but would really like to walk as leisure time for myself. I work full time but my day off is a Friday and I can be flexible in the week days..... so week days would be my preferred walking days. Look forward to getting out there!

I am a Walker, in my late 20s, based near Tyldesley.
My Message: Hi,
I stumbled across this site as i have come to a point in my life where i am no longer interested in partying, although from an early age i have always been interested in the great outdoors and walking/nature. It feels lovely to feel free and hear the true sounds of nature, breathing in fresh air is wonderful. My friends dont share my same passion (feel trapped / caged in my house, doesnt feel safe to walk alone) i am now looking to pursue my hobby for good, with someone who feels the same :) i live in greater manchester (near bolton) i do drive, i am a single parent, i wont be available every weekend, but available enough to do the walks, if anyone of a similar age feels the same. Please contact me and who knows we make create a life long (healthy!) friendship.
Many thanks for reading, be lovely to hear from you.
Rebecca

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Hemel Hempstead.

My Message: Recently retired professional male who can’t stand being indoors.
I usually do a couple of grade 3-4 walks a week and I hope to build-up to at least one 2/3 day walk each week, grade 5-9, in all weathers, over the winter months. I would prefer these to be mid-week but this is flexible. I’m looking for similar minded companions seeking to improve fitness, navigation, and hill-savvy skills. This is as much for safety reasons as for those deep philosophical conversations on climbs of 1000+ feet.
I’m no Bear Grylls – I have a modern campervan than I use as a base for longer trips but I consider the local Travelodge/BandB to be mandatory for sleeping! The van provides a neat facility for setting the heating on automatic timer and my must-have:- freshly brewed coffee.
I’m based in Hertfordshire and East Kent so I have a long drive to find any decent hills. You are bound to be en route to most of the national parks so location and lack of transport shouldn’t put you off. I’m not all climbing and route-marches, and expect to include wild-life reserves and historical places in any itinerary – but no shopping malls! You should expect to budget £50-£100 expenses for each trip.
I have no fixed plans or destinations, although the Munros in January are out, same for the Alps.
Let me know if you are interested and we can have a trial stroll up Box Hill or similar.

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Ystradgynlais.
My Message: Hi there,
I'm looking for female companions to keep me company while i'm out and about on my wanderings. Quite shy initially but fine once I get going. I love all kinds of walks from difficult to very easy and perhaps followed by a spot of food and a glass of something refreshing. Usually try and stick to the Brecon beacons and Black mountains, but also open to perhaps camping or even a BandB if I travel away. I also love a bit of landscape photography so sometimes take my camera along for the day..
Get in touch if you're up for a stroll some time :)

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Romsey.
My Message: Hi
I have been getting lazy of late and only been walking the rolling downs of Hampshire, I recently went up Pen Y Fan and my body reminded me of muscles I had forgotten about. I would love to get back into walking more challenging walks. I used to spend a lot of time in the peak district arround Edale and would love to re aquaint myself with that area again, but am willing to go anywhere there is a descent ascent. Sharing the travel costs would be a great advantage.
I am a 52 year old male and would love to hear from anyone who is patient enough to walk with me whilst I get my leg muscles working again or people who are in a similar position to myself.

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Hull.
My Message: Hi, I am hoping to find walking friends to explore the great outdoors with. I havent done a lot of walking recently but am fairly fit. I played county standard netball all my life up to about three years ago. I've done a few 5k and 10k runs etc in the past. I am based in Hull but drive, so travelling a bit is not a problem. I am an easy going person with a lot of interests. I enjoy serious debates and light hearted chats. I love wildlife spotting particularly but enjoy anywhere scenic really. I have family in South Wales and am down that way every few weeks. Anyway, look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Market Rasen,.
My Message: Hi I'm Nikki, I'm 43, married with two teenagers. I enjoy walking and cycling around Lincolnshire where I live. Due to an accident at work, my husband is unable to walk very far/hard trecks so I'm looking for a fun loving person to share country walks. I'm not after romance, just a friend or two to have a laugh and a joke with on long walks. if you are this kind of person drop me a line eh! I enjoy mountain biking but cannot ride for long due to a knee problem. I have recently taken up road biking which I thoroughly enjoy. Please don't reply to this if you take yourself too seriously. I enjoy life and like people who do the same. looking forward to hearing from you. N

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Walsall.
My Message: Hi! I love the outdoors so much. Try to walk most weekends in all weathers. I will travel to derbyshire, midlands, shropshire and anywhere in driveing distance. Do enjoy going further if time allows.
Love to just go out and enjoy the day, haveing laughs along the way. Still after many years have a tendancy to get lost but feel that it is a learning process and eventually make it back to the car :-)
I have gradually mastered the compass but still needs lots of practice.
Look forward to those great days out with someone who finds the beauty of the countryside breathtakeing.
Thank you for showing an interest, and enjoy your walking!!!! :-)
Oh forgot i do love cycling too if you fancy that but not too steep. lol !!!! :-)

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Ashbourne.
My Message: Hello! I live near Ashbourne, have not done a great deal of walking recently, more cycling/ gym to keep fit, but would love to get back to walking again and am looking for female company to walk with. I have walked quite a lot in Lakes in the past, also Peak District, although I don't enjoy walking on my own. I would love 1, 2 or 3 others to walk with, happy to have dogs along too, also I am happy to plan/ navigate walks. I work in the week, so would prefer to walk on a Saturday, possibly some Sundays, but I prefer to spend time with hubby on a Sunday usually. Outside of walking I enjoy gardening and sewing, and have one child at uni, one in 6th form.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Cambridge.
My Message: Keen experienced walker. Enjoy taking my and others children for walks, especially weekend 2/3 day trips between places - YHA or low cost hotel in winter, wild camping summer / autumn.
Didn't occur to me to ask for adult company till I saw this site; but would be great (with or without my and/or your children). Enjoy doing the mountain guide bit if somewhere I'm familliar with, or happy to just bash along enjoying the scenery. Good at making / adapting plans to conditions - enjoyed getting over some high hills in the Lakes with the wind behind us on a couple of trips this winter. Have 7 seat car so possible to pick up on way. Drop me a line, see what we can arrange.

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Camelford.
My Message: I have lived in the UK for 7 years and have come to know the Cornish walking trails very well with a few forays to Dartmoor and the South Devon coast. I would like to expand this and am very keen to explore further afield, both in the UK and Europe. I am a doctor with a rather busy job, but can take time off to travel and intend to do more of this. My rather angelic Border Collie usually accompanies me with great enthusiasm and generally gets on with everyone he meets. I am hoping to meet walkers from all areas, I would be interested in joining group walks or others who walk singly. I previously lived in Cape Town, and climbed Table mountain and the mountains of the Western Cape extensively, thus I have a pretty good degree of fitness and can manage long distances and inclines, I do not climb with equipment or up rock faces but up to almost anything else.

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Nottingham.
My Message: Hi - I am fit and active, love the outdoors, looking for walking friends for days out mainly walking the Lakeland Fells, Howgills and Yorkshire Dales.
Males / Females welcome, looking to improve my map reading skills. Well behaved dogs are welcome, nice to finish the day with food and drink at the end of the walk, to chat about the excitement of the day! I am easy going not looking to do a route march, love to take in the scenery along the way, nothing beats the beauty of the tarns and mountains. Happy to do any kind of walk with likeminded friends. I live North/West Cumbria so would be great to meet local walkers or anyone willing to travel.
Thanks for reading - looking forward to meeting new friends.

I am a Walker, in my early 70s, based near Palmers Green.
My Message: Hello I am a weekend rambler (10 to 12 miles usually) and occasional long distance trail walker. I'm interested in exploring new areas as well as the Home Counties where I sometimes lead walks for a club. I am quite fit for my age and trying to remain so. I live in a North London suburb with my daughter. I worked until recently; now semi-retired, I have more time for walking and would like to have a companion on some of the reconnaissance walks I do. Several of my long-established friends have moved away, hence this appeal. Two drawbacks to note: (a) I don't drive and (b) I'm active in Labour and Co-operative politics (though I don't go on about it). I've recently taken up urban as well as country walking, linking with architectural interests. I do voluntary work as trustee of a countryside conservation organisation and an historic house trust in addition to some neighbourhood commitments in north London.
