I am a Walker, in my early 30s, based near Lincoln.

My Message: Hi my names is Emma, I'm 32 and married, I have an 11 month old springador puppy who loves walking, I'm interested in walking with people who have or don't have dogs and I'm happy to walk without her. I work at a local college so have lots of free time in the summer. I like exploring new areas and enjoy walks that include a good tea room. I live in Lincoln but happy to travel.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Worcester.

My Message: Lively Worcester based woman in need of a reason to walk seeks friends male or female to walk with, weekends only really as I work long hours. I'm a committed cyclist and yoga fan but would like to spend time in the outdoors with some pleasant company, if you like to end your walks in a pub all the better!! I'm not sure how far up the gradings I should say I'm willing to go, perhaps start at the lower end and work up :-)

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Leeds.

My Message: Greetings fellow walkers! I am based in West Yorkshire at present and am wanting to connect with like-minded, sure-footed hill and dale walkers. I am a keen walker and am happy to accompany both female and male companions on many an excursion. I am a 'youthful' 59 year old - am fit and am ready to head for the hills with whoever finds the time! Weekends are best for me as I'm caring for elderly dad during the week tho' with the new summer time - there's plenty of hours left of an afternoon!

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Buxton.

My Message: Hi. I'm Ruth and I am seeking likeminded individuals to go out for a walk or a run or a bike ride. I have two dogs, one little and one large. I am reasonably fit as I like to be out cross country running or just chopping wood. I have walked the walks around where I live and I am looking to explore further afield. I like to do a bit of orienteering however that has ben put on the backburner for a bit. I would like to meet someone to go out for a walk with or without the dogs and to explore the countryside.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Tonbridge.

My Message: I am going to the Brecon Beacons for at least 3 days this Easter, based at Brecon youth hostel. I'm fit and active and normally walk quite energetically but can adapt to match most paces.

I also have the chance to do a walking trip anywhere else but within the first two weeks of April only. (After that my family return from their holiday abroad and I won't have the chance to go away properly.)

If you are interested in joining me for any walking trip during either period then please get in touch.

Box No: 102444

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Bath.

My Message: I have been a keen walker for the last 10 years but (as we have got older) my walking companions have begun to fall by the wayside whereas I'm still raring to go! I have considered joining the Ramblers but I'd rather not walk in a large group. Also having exhausted most of the walks in the Bath area, Wiltshire and Dorset I would like to start walking further afield and have got my eye on some of the long distance trails ----- I prefer walking from place to place rather than circular walks but I will do both! Although I am slow uphill, I can cover 8 to 14 miles a day especially if there is a meal and a glass of wine to look forward to at the end. The other thing I enjoy is map reading and it gives me great satisfaction when I have negotiated a route successfully.
So, I am looking for a walking companion who would like to do any of the above either during the week or at weekends.

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Birmingham.

My Message: I'm glued behind a desk all week and by Thursday the walls are closing in on me - thank heavens Sunday always comes.. !

I have walked with groups but I'm not in control of the day - and I don't like to dash from A to B so I mainly walk alone, which I'm happy to do BUT I would prefer to go with a pal who can laugh at mad cows, swat a mozzie off my shoulder, share comments on lovely views and who doesn't mind me pinching a chip off their plate when we stop for a pub lunch.. !

Where I walk depends on my mood; Peaks/North Wales for dramantic, Cotswolds for pretty.
I have no problem travelling and am happy to share my last Rollo on the way home....

If you'd like to know more, my name's David....

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Haywards Heath.

My Message: Hello, I'm planning to walk the Coast to Coast route over 2 weeks starting from St Bees sometime between May 9-12. If you are interested in joining me to do part or all of this walk, please get in touch and I look forward to hearing from you.

I'm a keen Long Distance Path walker interested in walking more of the UK's LDP's with anybody keen to join me to walk as a pair, either for single days or longer sections. Prefer one to one interaction rather than being in a group, equally able to provide stimulating conversation or remain silent as and when appropriate, like to cover some reasonable ground, but not at the expense of taking in the scenery and enjoying the time and space walking gives you to think, as well as the euphoria of a well earned drink and meal at the end of the day.

I have walked Hadrian's Wall Path, the Camino Frances route of the Camino Santiago from St Jean to Santiago and Finisterre/Muxia, and the Annapurna Base Camp trek in Nepal. I live local to the South Downs Way and am keen to complete the western half of this from Amberley to Winchester, either in one day or longer sections and at anytime forward.

Intending to walk the C2C path (St. Bees-Scarborough) and the West Highland Way/Ben Nevis/Great Glen Way (Glasgow-Fort William-Inverness) next Spring (April/May/June 2013) and keen to hear from anybody interested in these two routes, or indeed any other walks you are interested in doing and would like a walking partner; happy to travel anywhere in UK by car or train.

Look forward to hearing from you, John

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Rugeley.

My Message: Hi My name's Angie and I'm looking for a male to accompany me on my walks. I'm fairly fit, hoping to do some good long distance walks and looking for someone to introduce me to the excitement of hillwalking and getting off the beaten track - I don't really have navigation skills yet but am keen to learn. I love Snowdonia and the majesty of the mountains but quite happy to explore anywhere and everywhere off the beaten track. I enjoy a hard day's walking but am equally happy to stop and enjoy the view while taking a well earned breather. I love company and am keen to share my enjoyment of walking and the outdoors with a likeminded male so we can both gain more from our shared experiences. A nice meal and a bevvy at the end - who can ask for more!!

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Shipley.

My Message: Hi all.. New to the site and looking to arrange regular walks at weekends and potentially walking holidays etc I have not been walking for a while, used to wander around the cairngorms as a youth but since moving to england I havent really had the time until now to do much. Im raring to go now though and need to get a few walks organised to ease myself back in gently. Not looking for anything too taxing to start with but hope to build up to do something more adventurous in due course

Forest walking has always been my favourite and am looking forward to exploring the options for that down here.. I am more than happy to travel anywhere really and to try any kind of walking in any environment.

My main reason for getting into walking is to get back to a good level of fitness, allied to that of course I love being in the outdoors and meeting new people.. hence the reason for joining up here

I would consider myself to be fun and spontaneous with a desire to explore and go on little adventures.. come and say hello and hopefully we can organise something

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Telford.

My Message: Hi, I'm Gareth 42 based in the West Midlands and thought I'd put myself out there as love to get out in the fresh air and am looking for males/females who'd like to join me as it would be better than sitting here or going out yomping by myself! I'm fairly fit and would like to improve this through some regular outdoor activity. Map reading skills are a bit rusty but sure they will improve over time too.

As a teacher I do have some weekends free and of course have long breaks in between terms (anyone free this half term/this week?) and over the summer.

I also have transport and a small split level campervan if you fancy stopping out for a night or two.

As to locations then I do love Wales/coast but happy to go a bit further afield and would like to take on a bigger challenge (3 Peaks, C2C etc. ?) in the summer as have the time to plan/organise something.

Oh and if your into getting into a bit of rubber(!) then I go windsurfing and would also like to try my hand at surfing if/whilst on the coast - though not essential.

So if this sounds good then drop me a line... would love to hear from you :)

I am a Walker, in my early 30s, based near Stoke-on-trent.

My Message: Hi there, Well I am a bit new to this so here goes! I have always loved the outdoors and with my current job am out in all conditions and away from home for periods of time. I would like to meet up with anyone from near to the west midlands of a similar age to explore all types of walking routes in the area and further afield. I am reasonable fit for my age and trying to get fitter and more healthy, so hope maybe getting out walking could kill two birds with one stone and meet people and get fit!

I would like to do challanges liek the three peaks in the future but must get out and about first! I did do snowdon a few years ago but would not mind doing it again maybe a different way as it was really foggy when we went up!!

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Blackpool.

My Message: Hi, I am a cheerful, happy go lucky, adventurous guy who has always had a facination for the outdoors-walking, camping, caving etc and a love of travel. I am planning to walk some long distance paths such as the Lancashire Coastal Way, Ribble Way or discuss any path you are interested in. I intend to video the walk and it would be fantastic to meet someone who would enjoy sharing the challenge. Probably do the walk in stages over a period of time. I am happy to begin with easy sections of about 5 miles enjoying the walk, increasing the distance as we get fitter. I am free most days and look forward to hearing from anyone who would like to join me in planning and doing some great walks. I am open to any other ideas and love country pubs.

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near New Brighton, Merseyside.

My Message: hi, my name is Phil. I have been a walker, mountain climber and rock climber for most of my life, and spent more than 25 years in the foothills of the German Alps. I returned to the UK a few years ago, moving to Wirral, where I hoped to have good access to some of the best walking in the country. Unfortunately, I lost most of my sight a couple of years ago, and am now unable to travel or undertake walks away from my home turf independently. I would love to get out into the hills again, and recently spent a few days in the Dales, where I at least proved to myself that I can still walk independently over rough terrain, albeit a little slower than formerly. Locally, I walk over the beaches and dunes for a couple of hours every day with my boisterous, but lovable collie-cross, who would also love to be out in sheep country (on the leash, of course).

If anyone fancies seeing whether we can walk together, do get in touch.
