My Message: I'm a novice intending to get into more walking this year. I relish fresh air and country or coastal views, but it would be so much more encouraging, and fun, to share the experience with an interesting male walker and enjoy pleasant conversation, maybe incorporating a visit to a historical site or area of natural interest. I'm a professional artist and take inspiration from the coast and from quaint or unusual architecture. I like to take photos now and then whilst walking. I can walk weekdays or weekends, depending on my varied work schedule, and I'm a car owner. I enjoy looking at maps, and I CAN read them - but I wouldn't rely on it!

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Keighley.

My Message: Hiya, I'm planning to walk The Pennine way in sections. I'm walking from Edale to Hawes in April and May as day walks then Hawes to Greenhead in July and the last leg in August to fit in with work and available accommodation. If anyone wants to join me, either for a section or just one day if I'm passing by your area, please get in touch. Aside from that, I'm looking for walking friends, male or female, who want to get out and about locally and possibly further afield. I enjoy walking round The Yorkshire Moors, into The Dales, Forest of Bowland and Pendle. I'm a fairly experienced walker and a good navigator. I'm not into bagging or walking for the sake of it; I like to enjoy the walk and the experience. I enjoy anything from a 4 mile amble to about 14 miles in a day. I've done the Bronte Round (23 miles) over two days and The Bradford Millennium Way (46 miles) over 4 days. I like to finish off a good walk with a visit to a pub or café or a look around the local towns or villages. I quite often have time off in the week but also have some weekends off too. I'm a flexible, easy going person who can talk about a wide range of things. Give me a shout if you'd like to go for a walk!

My Message: I live in Essex and later on this year I am doing a charity trek in Vietnam. So at the moment I am trying to get lots of walks in! Typically I walk about 10 miles but it's fairly flat where I live so I'd like to go a bit further afield and it would be good to have some company. I work part-time so sometimes walk on weekdays, sometimes weekends. I walk in Essex, but also like the South Downs as it's a bit more hilly!

My Message: Looking for people to walk with mainly in England and Wales as Scotland can be a bit far from the midlands. Have done all welsh 3000s now and so far 88 wainwrights along with a few adventures into Scotland including Ben macdhui and camping under the shelter stone. Fairly experienced walker and also like To do a bit of scrambling but when ropes are needed it gets out of my comfort zone.

Hi i'm Jon aged 34 living in Warrington, Cheshire. I have always had an interest in walking and exploring whether it be through muddy fields, woodlands, along canal towpaths, mountain walking etc. I just love to get out there and explore the great outdoors. It's great to get into the open air away from the busy work schedule.

I can do basic map reading and generally have a good sense of direction.

I would very much like to find new friends who hopefully share these interests and would perhaps like to join me on some walks. I do drive and have my own transport.

My Message: Hi, I'm 52, female, and looking for people to walk with at weekends and evenings in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area - local to home would be ideal. I'm hoping to get in touch with the more leisurely walker/s who enjoy the summer sunshine, fresh air and gentle walks to take in the views and enjoy company in their spare time. I'm no longer a moor walker in all weathers, although I do enjoy walks between 4 and 10 miles with pleasant refreshment stops and I don't mind a drop of rain. My Message: Hi, I'm Ellen and I would like to meet a like minded male who is as interested in the outdoors as me. I work in a school and have the school holidays off so would like to make the most of them.
I have just got back from the Peak District, which was so lovely but didn't do any quality walking as I was with my sister and Mum. Their idea of a nice walk is to potter about the shops and walk on tarmac! Not my idea of a good walk.
I love new adventures and experiences, I have white water rafted which I would do again, my bike is looking very sad in my garage as I haven't been out on it in a while, but mainly I can't wait to meet a like minded person who likes nothing more than walking in amazing scenery and experiencing the great outdoors.

My Message: Hi, I’m Steve, 55, 5’ 6” tall, average build, but not as fit as I think I am! I’m looking for a female walking companion to share big & small adventures in the great outdoors. I have the Ridgeway and Cotswolds close by but prefer the high places like the Lake District, Snowdonia and the Brecons and head for them when time and funds allow. I also enjoy coastal walks or mooching around a town. I love camping and am looking to trying wild camping this year as I’m a keen photographer wanting to capture mountain sunrises and sunsets. Not averse to the odd B&B or hotel now and again though. I work office hours so am usually free at weekends, and summer evenings locally. I think I’m a reasonable navigator (thank you GPS!). And it’s always nice to go for a drink and chat at the end of the day. I’m not really into route marches but like to stop to admire the view and take photos. Happy to walk in all weathers. Happy in my own company but it would be great to have a like-minded soul along for the journey.

This year i would like to see more of Snowdonia national park after spending much time around the dales and the peak district.
I live in Suffolk so i have done plenty of coastal walking.

My Message: Hi. Geography / geology teacher looking for a / some walking companions. Am keen to complete my ML this year sometime but need some help with motivation (basically a keep up the backside!). Want / need to improve my fitness too.
