My Message: I'm a 53 year old single, professional woman living in Leeds. I love walking, and do plenty of short but not particularly challenging walks in the countryside outside Leeds with friends. However, I enjoy more of a challenge, having recently got hooked on the delights of hill walking in the Lakes, and having been a member of LDWA for many years and done several of their challenge walks I'm also happy to walk longer distances. But, most of my friends don't fancy that idea, so I am looking for new walking partners to go further afield. I'm a 32 year old asian female, just from the outskirts of Birmingham.

I am looking for walking buddies to experience more of the outdoors with, long walks, hill walks, mountains, day ways, weekend walks, challenges etc.

I am just getting my fitness back after being ill for a period but in the past I have undertaken the likes of Snowdon and Cadir idris in wales, many walks in wales and the peak district, shropshire hills etc.

I would like to get back into my passion and also make new friends as existing friends have gone abroad to live and work.

I am able to drive to locations, pick ups etc if you dont own your own car to beable to go on long walks, or if you have to leave the car to the partner for the day!

I am keen to train up to do the National Three Peaks challenge so anyway wishing to help me or looking to embark on this, do get in touch! Or if you are already training, again, would love to hear from you.

My Message: I’m from the Maidenhead area and am looking for a female friend for walking and hiking in the Welsh mountains, Cumbria or Scotland, although if you have other areas to visit, then that’s ok by me. Being in my mid fifties, male, I have been walking from many years enjoying the outdoor life and am able to set up comfortable base camps on overnighters. My Message: Hi I am a keen walker who prefers not to follow a ramble but to go off the beaten track or do hill walking. I have climbed Ben Nevis, Snowdonia and most of the big Cumbrian hills and peaks. I am looking for males who would like to walk at weekends only and can be the navigator as my map reading skills are poor (Dsylexic!). I have my own transport and willing to do the driving as long as we share the diesel. (No dogs please as its a new car). My Message: Hi there. I am a 35 year old female, looking for either a male or female walking companion. I am an enthusiastic walker and love the outdoors. I really enjoy the whole experience of walking, including the sights, nature and wildlife. I enjoy a leisurely stroll or more extreme lengthy walks. I have done quite a few walks locally around yorkshire, including canal walks and the 3 peaks in the Yorkshire dales. In 2011 I did a 10 day walk in the Borneo rainforest which was tough due to the conditions, but was fantastic at the same time. I am pretty much up for giving any walk a go, rain or shine..... or snow! My map reading and navigation skills aren't particularly brilliant, but this is something that I am working on! My Message: Hi there
I'm new to this and looking for companions to help! I've been working on my fitness and I'm looking to continue the process whilst making friends, if at all possible, as I've also just relocated and don't know many people in Derby and surrounds. I don't expect to be a burden though, I'm pretty switched on, can read maps and make conversation, but mostly I'm very willing and motivated!
I haven't filled in a lot of detail about counties to walk in as I drive and am open to suggestions! This applies equally in relation to difficulty levels; I think it probably depends on spare time and how far in advance you're planning but I'm definitely looking to challenge myself a bit :)
Whilst I have no idea whether this site works for meeting new people, I'm optimistic......
