I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Hertfordshire.

My Message: Hi Everyone!

I am happy walking solo but company is so much more enjoyable!

There is nothing better than scintillating scenery to photograph and interesting facts and history to discover when out for a walk.

I have walked and completed the 3 Peaks (2010)and the Coast to Coast (2011), however I am equally happy on a short walk as a long one so if you fancy a walk please join me!

Ally

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Hull.

My Message: Hi, I'm Paul (40) from the Hull area. I am currently looking for walking partners male or female to share my love of the outdoors with. I am currently doing my Mountain Leader (Summer) qualification. I love camping and wild camping and like to use Youth Hostels where I can. I like to walk in all sorts of area's from the Broads to Scotland, and any sort of length from a couple of hours to a couple of days. I also enjoy a pint or two after a walk. I am free most weekends. Look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Grassington.

My Message: Hi - my name is Dave, I'm single, 42 years old and live in a small village near Grassington right in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. I have been walking locally 'up hill and down dale' for many years usually just me and my beloved (but grumpy!) border collie but as she's nearing 13 she's struggling to manage the longer days. Walking alone does get very dull so I'm now looking for a female walking companion to enjoy long day walks or shorter walks with, someone who doesn't mind the walk ending in an inviting pub to finish the day over a pint or two!! I do love the Dales but keen to explore further afield so anyone who might have knowledge or a desire to walk elsewhere across the North of England would be a bonus
I'm also interested in long distance walks over a couple of days or more, camping or BandBs en route - I completed the Dales Way with a group from work last year and loved every step of it... !

Thanks for looking - if you are interested I would be happy to hear from you.
Dave

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Bedford.

My Message: Hi, I'm Caroline. I love the outdoor life, particularly walking in the hills. There's nothing better than reaching the top of a mountain on a crisp, sunny morning and enjoying the view. Getting there is the is the challenge! Over the years I've enjoyed walking in most of the peaks and mountains of Britain, but there are still many new routes to discover. It would be great to share the experience with a like minded male. To walk, talk and share the apres adventure. If you like the idea drop me a line.

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Blackpool.

My Message: I have become more into walking longer, more challenging routes in the last 12 months but there is still more to do!! My favourite places are the Trough / Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales. Haven't quite got myself up to Ben Nevis standard yet but definitely prefer longer walks to shorter ones. I am based in Blackpool and I have a couple of friends I walk with on occasion (human), and sometimes my husband will come out with me but his work shifts can get in the way. I also have my two faithful walking pals (canine) that accompany me on all walks. If dogs can't go then I don't go! I would like to find walking companions male or female with or without dogs (as long as they don't mind mine) to swap new walks with and for some company. I work two days a week regularly then have a lot of flexibility the rest of the time for outings during weekdays (preferably) or weekends. I am totally rubbish at map reading although that said I have managed to find my way home every time! If I'm out walking then I am not at home snacking!! :-)

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Mellor.

My Message: Hi I am not quite sure how to grade the walks that I am interested in. I have completed the Camino in Northern Spain but that doesn't involve that much climbing! I've also done the middle 4 days of Hadrians Wall. However I haven't done much walking over the last twelve months and would like to get out and about a bit more. The dog is in her 13th year and is no longer up for long walks. I love being outdoors, walking in great scenery and in good company that would be even better. I haven't navigated much and walking is one of the few areas of life that I am happy to follow in a sheep-like manner! I am quite well-travelled but very down to earth and would be happy to chat about many things in addition to walking in companionable silence, at times. A meal and a glass of something nice at the end of a days walking would be great. I am in a walking group and go on around 8 mile walks at present but to meet a male companion who enjoys walking would be the icing on the cake. I am based in Mellor in my native Lancashire and look forward to hearing from you. I have no ties and am free most weekends.

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Milton Keynes.

My Message: Hi my name is Jan and would love to find a walking friend to share some of the walks I do fairly regularly and also to share all the lovely walks that I have yet to discover! Having lived in the North West up until a couple of years ago I got to walk many areas in the Yorkshire Dales, Cumbria, Howgills and Lancashire and I still go up there as often as I can and know some parts very well but always willing to do some new ones even areas I have never been to! I am based down in Buckinghamshire now and am happy to walk around here and the surrounding counties as well as in the north, as it's always better to be in the great outdoors! It would be great to be contacted by someone in the Dales as I try to spend as much time there as I can but would be lovely to have a companion here in this area where I am currently. I consider myself reasonably fit but not really sporty and am happiest doing walks up to about 8-9 miles and to stop occasionally to appreciate the scenery! I consider myself an easy going laid back sort of person and enjoy a sense of humour in someone else. I am single and about 5' 5", medium to slightly plump build with blond/grey hair and have two sons and four grandchildren. My other interests are in drawing and sketching, reading and of course to be out and about in the countryside. Well that's enough about me, I look forward to hearing from you, please get in touch!

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Woodford Green.

My Message: I have just taken up walking, after years of racket and other ball sports. I am looking for likeminded people who want reasonably strenuous walks (typically 10 to 20 miles at level 4) on Sundays and, on the odd occasion, weekends further afield.
For the Sunday walks logistics of getting to a starting point will probably limit me to 100 miles from home (Woodford Green, Essex), preferably a lot closer!
For weekends away I will travel pretty much anywhere.
I like to think I am fairly sociable and love to chat to people when I am walking. Don’t mind a pie and a pint at the end of a trek either.
Quite happy to organising a walk if anyone is interested in Epping Forest, Lea Valley or Essex countryside.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have similar interests or know of any individuals or groups already doing the same.
Regards
Chris

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Hyde.

My Message: I used to be a regular walker in my younger days and I'm looking to get back into the great outdoors to maintain my health and fitness. I always enjoyed the company of people met on the trail and Hill and have pleaseant memories of the summits of Tryfan, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. So if there is anyone out there like myself who likes a little company on a walk or just someone to take the photograph, please get in touch. I am a shift worker and sometimes have to work weekends and Bank holidays and therefore not always available. However the upside of that is that I get days off through the week when the hills and trails are not so crowded. If anyone is interested in walking locally around Hyde or Glossop or even in the Peak district, then please leave your box number so I can reply.

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Birmingham.

My Message: Hello there I seem to have ticked an awful lot of boxes where I would like to walk. Im not sure if it was meant to be areas where you would like to access in a weekend. If so I obviously wont be able to go to some of these (eg orkney!).
Anyway Im writing this as i hope to find more friends to go on walking trips with and maybe even walking holidays. Ive done walking hols abroad in the past but they have mainly been with companies like Exodus. I'd like to do my own trips with some like minded friends in the future.
But for now I'd just be happy to meet some people to do trips at the weekend with. Ive done quite a bit of walking with walking clubs in the past but I'd like to make it a bit more adventurous by going with friends and finding our own way.
Anyway I wont waffle on too much for now and hope to hear from someone!

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near York.

My Message: Hi! My name is Pam and I am a 51 year old single lady of petite build and 5'3' tall. I am an accountant but I am here to show that accountants aren't boring. (Well this one isn't anyway!) I have recently taken up walking and I am no means an expert so I would like somebody to walk with who would begin with more gentle walking (around 8 to 9 miles of fairly easy terrain) but my aim is to improve and do more challenging walks in the future. I can only walk on weekends as I work fulltime.

I am looking for male and female friends as it is always fun to walk with somebody else. I am good fun and I like to laugh. I also like good conversation.

I don't mind whether you are younger or older (but no doubt you will be wiser!). Please get in touch! Pam x

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Gillingham.

My Message: Hi, I am at a loose end and looking for walking companions. I have just restarted walking (UK wide) after a break of a few years. My partner has his own interests which take him away most of the time. I am relatively fit and I am happy strolling around locally or on a national path, peak bagging etc. I work shifts so I am available at weekends and during the week and have my own transport so I am willing to travel.
I am just looking for chatty, fun company of any sex, standard or age.

My Message: Hi im Chris, slowly but surely getting back in walking. I'm looking for a lady walker to share days out with. It would be an absolute bonus if she had children as im trying to get my 10 year old son involved and figure it'd be more fun with others around his age. I've got a few walkin buddies but a our days hardly seem to match up so it's allways good to widen the social circle. Food and a beer at the end is a must!

Hi, I am a youthful 43 year old woman living in central London. I'm a 49/51% city/country lover and I love getting out to the countryside to walk. I want to do more of this and with like minded people. I like being in nature and enjoy all terrains, but particularly the rugged or remote ones. I really like Cumbria, Derbyshire and Cornwall. I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Warrington.

My Message: Hello - I'm 37 and live in Warrington with my 2 children. My favourite places to walk are the Lake District, Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales. I'm Canadian, and grew up hiking quite a lot in the mountains but haven't been properly walking/hiking here for a few years, so this is my effort to get back to it. My physical fitness is pretty good, and I am interested in walking anywhere - if I have a couple of days free, I will make an effort to drive somewhere nice for a good walk with someone. I'm a 'lets just do it' sort of person - hope to meet others with a similar outlook. - Madeline

I've recently moved in with my boyfriend in Nottingham and got a new 9-5 job so just looking to meet some new, friendly faces who enjoy walking in the countryside as much as I do.
