My Message: Hi, I have always enjoyed walking in my home town, local woods and beauty spots but am now looking to walk for fitness and to discover new places, starting slowly and building up to longer adventures. I am easy-going with a good sense of humour and enjoying chatting about most subjects. I can only walk at weekends due to work and would ideally like to start in my local area before moving on to places like the Lake District or Scotland, so if you are a newbie like me or are willing to start slowly then I would be happy to hear from you. I love history so it would be good to combine some local history with a walk too.

My Message: Female, 37, based in Bradford. I do have a genuine love of the Yorkshire Dales (especially Garsdale and Swaledale). Can cover anything upto 12-13 mile walks. I do have a walking friend but she prefers shorter walks!!! I'm not into walking groups but wouldn't mind someone else to share the outdoor life with. Would look to cover a few more Lakeland routes with a keen walker.

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near Barrow-in-furness.

My Message: Hi, I am a single 37 year old fairly fit female who loves the outdoors and wants to get back into walking. I live in the Lake District so that it is my preferred area of walking. Although I would also be open to Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons and Scotland. I would like to do some of the Wainwright walks as well as maybe the coast to coast. I am happy to walk with anyone, male, female or groups. Confession time, I am a typical woman, I cannot read a map and have never used a compass but willing to learn! Prefer to do a full days walking but am also happy to do shorter walks. Definetly like to reward a full days walking with either a pub (with a roaring fire in winter and beer garden in summer) or a cafe selling home made stodgy chocolate cakes. I am around most weekends. My Message: I am a fit and energetic 59 year old lady looking for somebody who would be happy to show me around the Lake District and incorporate some walking, one week-end in March. I can comfortably walk 6/7 miles, although I am a little out of practice so could be a little out of condition! Obviously this would only be a taster but I am anxious to fullfil a desire to visit the area.

My Message: Hi my name is Ollie, i'm a 60yr old retired lady, fit and active. I am in a walking club and also a running club but would love to meet both male and female fellow walkers who are able to walk during the week as well as weekends. I did the Furness Way last year stopping at hostels and B and B's and really enjoyed it and would love to do more. My Message: Hi, I'm a single, 57 year old, female, who has just moved from the Derbyshire Peak District to rural Bedfordshire! So I'm missing the hills. I'm looking for a male friend for walking, talking, laughing and that pint/meal at the end of the day. I love walking in wild, empty places and don't mind roughing it occasionally to get to that special place. I completed the Coast to Coast in May and would like to do other trails........preferably using B&Bs! I've walked a lot in Europe, Canada, Patagonia and New Zealand and would love to discover new places. And I've recently discovered the delights of Assynt and Norway. I work full-time, so weekends tend to be reserved for walks. I'm not particularly fast - I like to take in everything around me rather than going on a route march! My Message: Hi, I’m Andrew from North Yorkshire and I really enjoy walking around the dales but it’s much better to share it with someone.
I’m looking for a female friend to go walking with. Someone to chat, to share the views and find a good pub or cafe at the end of the days walk (preferably with roaring open fire on cold days).
Now unattached and keen to make new friends, get out walking at weekends and evenings too once the spring/summer gets going.
I enjoy any sort of walks from a stroll around a reservoir to something more adventurous heading up the hills. Lots of beautiful dales walks in area but would like to try the lakes as well and always enjoy the coast. Transport is no problem, I often work around the Peak District which is another favourite area.
Not done any long walks recently but am generally fit and active and always up for a challenge.

My Message: Hi, I love walking but want to get into it more. I work shifts, so have weekdays free when my boy is at school, between 10 and 2, allowing for travel and the odd weekend and some evenings. No regular pattern tho! Due to the time limits I have limited my walk types and locations. But when I can, I am willing to go anywhere! I also love fairweather camping and me and my son love to, so any single camping/walking friends are welcome to contact me. My son is age 9.
