I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Southampton.

My Message: Hi, My name is Sue and I am 47 and single. I live in Hampshire and my passion for walking and hiking began a few years ago in the Lake District with my friend who lives in Newcastle.

I have progressed from flat walking to hiking in Andalucia (600-800 mtr climbs), Snowdon (miners trail) in July this year where it was heavy rain and blowing a gale the whole way up!!.... I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge though. Theres so many places I would like to visit however my walking partner lives too far away to make it a regular event. I do however reguarly walk with my sister and her husband locally in the New Forest/south coast and these are grade 1 and 2 walks.

It would be great to find a walking partner locally and happy to do 5 - 12 miles. I work shifts so often available mid week too. I have 2 daughters and 3 sisters so some male company would make a nice change. I do make a nice packed lunch but allways happy to visit the pub if preferable.

I have never used a map or compass, the walks/hikes I have done have either been guided or from a guide book but I am willing to learn!!

Personality wise I would describe myself as 'a people person' confident, outgoing and happy. I excersise approx 3 times a week.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Lancaster.

My Message: Hi.., my name is warren, i am interested in finding female walking companions to explore Lancashire, Cumbria, mainly the stunning Lake District. I am not really into route marches, much prefer leisurely ambles, taking in the sights and sounds, over the fells, around lakes and tarns, along rivers, wonder around villages..... then finish off in a coffee shop/atmospheric pub pref with crackling fire... so if this sounds like anyone elses cup of tea, coffee or alcohol, please do get in touch. I also like historic houses, castles etc. If i really got on well with someone would like to travel further afield. I have children so can only really meet up aprox every other weekend.. look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Oakworth.

My Message: Would you like some romance while out walking ? Yes you did read that correct......... Single 51 year old happy go lucky, easy going and young at heart, down to earth, working class male, with a good sense of humor, wishes to meet female walking and possible new romantic partner age 35 to 50 for camping and for walks of all grades, country side and mountains, and costal, you name it lets try and walk it or scramble it hand in hand, then chill out in the pub with a nice meal and a drink.

I love to walk alone but some days I feel I have walked 2 many happy but sometimes lonely miles in life, so it would be nice if I could meet a new lady who enjoys my hobby of camping and walking and who will walk hand in hand with me through life, as well as out in the countryside or coast or mountains.

I live in Oakworth / Haworth, that's the home of the Bronte Sisters and Withering Heights, and also home of the Railway Children, its on the borders of West Yorkshire and Lancashire. I enjoy the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, and I would love to walk and scramble and camp in many other areas. So would you like a kiss and a cuddle in the moon light beneath the stars ?

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Chester.

My Message: Hi,
I'm Graham, new to this site, but thought i'd give it a go!
I'm 47, and a farmer, which keeps me fit, and contrary to popular belief, we do get time off!! I have a million hobbies, but walking, and especially up in the hills and mountains of this beautiful country of ours is my passion.
Do have some walking friends, but most would rather sit infront of a TV, so looking for more like minded people, with the same passion, who love being on top of the roof of the world :)
Have hill walked everywhere, but have recently discovered Snowdonia, which is strange, as it's been on my doorstep most of my life, and i'm in love hehe.
If you fancy a good yomp up a mountain, some chat and some laughs... and maybe food and drink in a pub on the way home, then what are you waiting for, come and say hi :)

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Bolton.

My Message: Hi, I'm a bloke with a fun sense of humour. I love to walk with friends or on a one to one walk, with good company especially in the Lake District, Peak District or even locally around Rivington. Most of the people I go walking with can only commit now and again so would like to meet someone so that I can get out a bit more often. I like most walks from the odd hour here and there to a full day out getting up Snowden or somewhere similar. Bobbing in the pub for a pint and or a bite to eat just tops it off. If you enjoy similar please get in touch, John

My Message: Looking for a keen, reliable walking companion for regular walks. Mostly at weekends but also occasionaly during the week if work commitments allow. I enjoy stopping to take photos (good excuse for a breather!) and soak up the peacefulness. It's also good to visit a pub or cafe at the end of the walk.

My Message: Hi I'm Carole and based in East Yorkshire. I'm looking at getting a group together for walking in Britain and abroad. Looking for like minded people who love to walk and have a bit of an adventure. I've walked most of the highest hills here and covered many of the long distance paths. I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Wigton.

My Message: Hi... Carole here. I live about 10 miles from Keswick and have done for the last 17yrs. Its always the way, isn't it, when you live next to something you hardly ever use it!
But that's about to change. Starting to build up my fitness (nothing over a grade 4 so far). Love to be out on my own with the dog... but would be nice to have company now and again, particularly for any trickier routes... not too confident in my way-finding skills as yet.
And the pint at the pub after is always better shared... :-)

I am a Walker, in my late 20s, based near Bristol.

My Message: Hi,
I live in the Bristol area and I'm looking for some walking companions. Being so close to South Wales I've walked alot in the Brecon Beacons, I love the area particulalry the peaks nr Glyn Tawe (Fan Brycheiniog etc) If I could move up there I'd go tomorrow! I also enjoy walking in North Wales - I'd like to go back and walk some more of the Carneddau. I'm also interested in doing a winter mountainerring course this year, and it would be great to find a few others to do it with and perhaps practice some of the skills learnt afterwards. I'm into outdoor swimming, so the Lake District also really appeals to me - I've been up there twice, but there's so much more to explore.

I have a 7 year old daughter who is a fantastic walker for her age (shes walked alot of the Brecon Beacons and the main tops of Snowdonia) She stays with her Dad on Sundays so I am free to walk on Sundays and the occasional weekend away. Would also be good to meet other families with children who like walking as all my daughters friends are more into playing on play stations etc! When I am walking with my daughter we also endulge in a bit of geocaching to her spur her along..

I don't drive, but willing to pay our way in terms of petrol/bridge fees and can get to newport etc by train at the weekends. Hope to hear from someone soon!

Ps I havent investigated the walk grades yet, so I've ticked them all not knowing what they mean! I up to walking up to 15 miles per day (at a push!) and not adverse to the odd scramble. I have a healthy fear of heights so I'm not massivly keen on the really exposed stuff.

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Newport Pagnell.

My Message: Hello I'm Joanne and I enjoy all types of walking, from casual local walking to the more serious mountain walking and scrambling. Have walked with mountaineering clubs and friends with walks that range from 3/4 hours in the Peaks to mountain walks in North Wales, Lake District and Scotland. Have manged Anach Eagach Ridge on a clear day scrambling over the pinnacles and would like to develop my scrambling further. Am keen to meet people who are local to my area for day walks as well as join up with some weekend mountain walking guys and girls.

I am a Walker, in my early 30s, based near London.

My Message: Hi. I've been to the Lake District for holidays 5 or so times over the years and whilst I'd never really kept track of exactly where I went previously, I'm keen to bag a few more peaks in the Lake District.

I've done the National Three Peaks before, although I'd have to say I'm probably better with endurance than speed!

Would be interested to hear from anyone that might like to join me in the Lakes for a walk (or several walks!) Hopefully finish off a walk with a pleasant pint of good ale.

I am happy to do local walks but also venture further affield, I love to finish off a good walk with a nice local pub, and also happy to camp on further afield trips.
