I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near New Brighton, Merseyside.

My Message: hi, my name is Phil. I have been a walker, mountain climber and rock climber for most of my life, and spent more than 25 years in the foothills of the German Alps. I returned to the UK a few years ago, moving to Wirral, where I hoped to have good access to some of the best walking in the country. Unfortunately, I lost most of my sight a couple of years ago, and am now unable to travel or undertake walks away from my home turf independently. I would love to get out into the hills again, and recently spent a few days in the Dales, where I at least proved to myself that I can still walk independently over rough terrain, albeit a little slower than formerly. Locally, I walk over the beaches and dunes for a couple of hours every day with my boisterous, but lovable collie-cross, who would also love to be out in sheep country (on the leash, of course).

If anyone fancies seeing whether we can walk together, do get in touch.

My Message: Hello, I am looking for a walking partner and would be interested hearing from a likeminded person. I am, I am afraid, a gentleman walker who perfers to stay in hotels or b&b rather than sleeping under canvas. I have done the Coast to Coast, West Highland Way, The Cleveland Way and loads of various long walks. I like to walk any distance be it short or long no matter the weather.... Dave

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Clitheroe, Whalley, Accrington, Padiham.

My Message: I am a single 44yr old male looking for a walking partner around 38-46yrs for local general walks and some more challenging mountain ones in the lakes etc. At the moment due to work i can only walk some sundays or mondays for more distant walks but most evenings for shorter local walks.
I am a keen photographer so sometimes take some camera kit so may wish to stop for the odd shot. I havent done many mountainous walks recently as no one to do them with so may need breaking in again.
If you interested drop me a line.

I am a Walker, in my late 20s, based near Tyldesley.

My Message: Hi,

I stumbled across this site as i have come to a point in my life where i am no longer interested in partying, although from an early age i have always been interested in the great outdoors and walking/nature. It feels lovely to feel free and hear the true sounds of nature, breathing in fresh air is wonderful. My friends dont share my same passion (feel trapped / caged in my house, doesnt feel safe to walk alone) i am now looking to pursue my hobby for good, with someone who feels the same :) i live in greater manchester (near bolton) i do drive, i am a single parent, i wont be available every weekend, but available enough to do the walks, if anyone of a similar age feels the same. Please contact me and who knows we make create a life long (healthy!) friendship.

Many thanks for reading, be lovely to hear from you.

I look forward to hearing from you!

My Message: Hi, I'm mainly looking for companions to walk with locally but with the odd venture further afield. I come with dog and we're more used to the coast than the hills. I'm generally restricted to weekends (Sundays really) but hope to spend some holidays walking next year. It would be good to meet new faces :-)

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Rhayader.

My Message: Hi Fellow walkers, my message is probably a little different from looking for partners to walk with, my husband and i are looking for someone that maybe interested in exchanging homes for walking holidays. We live in the beautiful Claerwen Valley in a 3 bed house with spectacular views due to its elevated position; the house is very secluded and peaceful with all of the Elan Valley lakes and walks on its doorstep. We would be interested in exchanging homes for holidays in the Lake District or the scottish highlands. If interested please reply and we can exchange photos and details.

My Message: Hi,

Single female looking for interesting walking company, groups or fellow singles for weekend walks in Midlands, Peaks, Shropshire and further afield. Don't do maps and compasses (well not unless you want to get completely lost), so someone who does would be good. However, sometimes getting lost is half the fun! Look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Preston.

My Message: Hi, I have walked on and off over the years but am looking to make it a more regular feature in my life having given up work recently (yipee!). Ideally I am looking for a female walker who would like to walk on weekdays, relatively locally to Lancashire. I have 3 kids, 2 who don't need any looking after but still one at primary school so this limits how far I can go to walk, though anything is possible with a bit of planning! I like walking, but more than this I like to have a laugh and enjoy a good chat. Look forward to hearing from you! Thanks Kathryn

I particularly enjoy walking in the Yorkshire Dales but I also enjoy a challenge so I'm prepared to try any grade of walk.

I am a Walker, in my early 60s, based near Hemel Hempstead.

My Message: Recently retired professional male who can’t stand being indoors.
I usually do a couple of grade 3-4 walks a week and I hope to build-up to at least one 2/3 day walk each week, grade 5-9, in all weathers, over the winter months. I would prefer these to be mid-week but this is flexible. I’m looking for similar minded companions seeking to improve fitness, navigation, and hill-savvy skills. This is as much for safety reasons as for those deep philosophical conversations on climbs of 1000+ feet.

I’m no Bear Grylls – I have a modern campervan than I use as a base for longer trips but I consider the local Travelodge/BandB to be mandatory for sleeping! The van provides a neat facility for setting the heating on automatic timer and my must-have:- freshly brewed coffee.

I’m based in Hertfordshire and East Kent so I have a long drive to find any decent hills. You are bound to be en route to most of the national parks so location and lack of transport shouldn’t put you off. I’m not all climbing and route-marches, and expect to include wild-life reserves and historical places in any itinerary – but no shopping malls! You should expect to budget £50-£100 expenses for each trip.

I have no fixed plans or destinations, although the Munros in January are out, same for the Alps.
Let me know if you are interested and we can have a trial stroll up Box Hill or similar.

My Message: Hi. Hoping to meet anyone who fancies walking or cycling in the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding area. I have a very friendly young dog, who also comes along on the walks. I'm able to walk any time mid-week, but not at weekends. I also enjoy historic buildings and photography, so love varied walks with plenty to see. Quite happy to end up in a tearoom too!! I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Ystradgynlais.

My Message: Hi there,
I'm looking for female companions to keep me company while i'm out and about on my wanderings. Quite shy initially but fine once I get going. I love all kinds of walks from difficult to very easy and perhaps followed by a spot of food and a glass of something refreshing. Usually try and stick to the Brecon beacons and Black mountains, but also open to perhaps camping or even a BandB if I travel away. I also love a bit of landscape photography so sometimes take my camera along for the day..
Get in touch if you're up for a stroll some time :)
