I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Stroud.

My Message: Hi, I used to do a lot of walking (Cairngorms etc. ) in my youth so keen to 'gradually' get back into some more serious stuff. Love the outdoors and still quite fit so would love to have a walking partner as my wife/kids are not into walking in any way. Good with a map and not too fussy about perfect weather. Like to chat and have a laugh, pub and creature comforts at the end of the day are great. Available w/e and school holidays. Look forward to hearing from anyone interested.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Nottingham.

My Message: Hi, I'm 52, female, and looking for people to walk with at weekends and evenings in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area - local to home would be ideal. I'm hoping to get in touch with the more leisurely walker/s who enjoy the summer sunshine, fresh air and gentle walks to take in the views and enjoy company in their spare time. I'm no longer a moor walker in all weathers, although I do enjoy walks between 4 and 10 miles with pleasant refreshment stops and I don't mind a drop of rain. I work during the week and would be available on a couple of evenings generally during the week and free to walk on either Saturdays or Sundays at weekends. If you are interested in meeting up please get in touch, I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Birmingham.

My Message: Hi, I'm Ellen and I would like to meet a like minded male who is as interested in the outdoors as me. I work in a school and have the school holidays off so would like to make the most of them.
I have just got back from the Peak District, which was so lovely but didn't do any quality walking as I was with my sister and Mum. Their idea of a nice walk is to potter about the shops and walk on tarmac! Not my idea of a good walk.
I love new adventures and experiences, I have white water rafted which I would do again, my bike is looking very sad in my garage as I haven't been out on it in a while, but mainly I can't wait to meet a like minded person who likes nothing more than walking in amazing scenery and experiencing the great outdoors.

My Message: Hi my name is Gilly, looking for a companion or companions to walk with occasionally, enjoy a good laugh and appreciate good company. Anybody who has a dog also would be welcome. I like walking but so much better when you have someone to share the experience with. I don't take walking too serious, just do it for pleasure, obviously with the occasional and neccessary Coffee Breaks thrown in !!

Look forward to hearing from any interested party x

I am a Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Bury St Edmunds.

My Message: Hi there, I am a single female looking for a walking buddy in Norfolk/Suffolk area really. I am a professional working in a mainly office based job, so need some outdoor time and good company to keep my sanity! I am not an 'experienced' walker, but have previously done a fair bit of walking in the peak district. I have a great sense of humour and am not adverse to the odd country pub drink to reward a good walk! Please hit reply if you fancy deciding where we are going to start our journey ;)

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Faringdon Oxon.

My Message: Hi, I’m Steve, 55, 5’ 6” tall, average build, but not as fit as I think I am! I’m looking for a female walking companion to share big & small adventures in the great outdoors. I have the Ridgeway and Cotswolds close by but prefer the high places like the Lake District, Snowdonia and the Brecons and head for them when time and funds allow. I also enjoy coastal walks or mooching around a town. I love camping and am looking to trying wild camping this year as I’m a keen photographer wanting to capture mountain sunrises and sunsets. Not averse to the odd B&B or hotel now and again though. I work office hours so am usually free at weekends, and summer evenings locally. I think I’m a reasonable navigator (thank you GPS!). And it’s always nice to go for a drink and chat at the end of the day. I’m not really into route marches but like to stop to admire the view and take photos. Happy to walk in all weathers. Happy in my own company but it would be great to have a like-minded soul along for the journey.

I am a Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Bath.

My Message: Hi,

hoping to find some like minded walkers/hikers/campers to turn solo walking into a group or pair activity.

I've recently moved to Bath and work a demanding and physical job, so enjoy weekends 'getting away from it all' and with a challenge.

As I'm new to the area, having some company would also be great.

I'm fit, active and reasonably experienced hill walker, both in UK and abroad. I'm not a technical climber but enjoy a scamble and steep inclines. Happy to travel and undertake treks and multiday walks.

If interested, please drop me a line....

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Salisbury.

My Message: Hello, I’m Sandi, fit and 59, no partner and in a full-time job but with weekends free. Done good distances all round Europe and Africa and back home I walk, run or cycle 4 and a half miles to and from work most days but really like to stretch my legs a good 12 – 16 miles at the weekends when possible dependent on the season and daylight. Moonwalks and Marathon walks also done and still on the list and I would really like to meet up with anyone wanting to share company and make new friends and am happy to travel or make a weekend of it somewhere. I’d love to notch up some of the UK national trails (Still trying to get to section 6 of the Ridgeway) and my great wish is to be able to complete the South West coast trail! Just love being outdoors and happy to pub or picnic. Currently looking for someone to do the South Downs way all in one with me over a week in August.... Any takers?

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Kendal.

My Message: I'm a 50 yr old lively (single/straight) female living 12 miles south of the Lake District. I just love being outdoors and don't mind hiking alone as I am a fairly experienced walker but it would be nice to have some company sometimes. My favourite kind of days are spent out on the fells followed by a pub lunch and a glass. As I am a nurse my shifts vary so I am not always available at the weekends but I usually manage to get out atleast 3-4 times a week. If you'd like to join me your most welcome?

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Hertfordshire.

My Message: Hi Everyone!

I am happy walking solo but company is so much more enjoyable!

There is nothing better than scintillating scenery to photograph and interesting facts and history to discover when out for a walk.

I have walked and completed the 3 Peaks (2010)and the Coast to Coast (2011), however I am equally happy on a short walk as a long one so if you fancy a walk please join me!

I am currently doing my Mountain Leader (Summer) qualification. I love camping and wild camping and like to use Youth Hostels where I can. I like to walk in all sorts of area's from the Broads to Scotland, and any sort of length from a couple of hours to a couple of days. I also enjoy a pint or two after a walk. I am free most weekends. I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Grassington.

My Message: Hi - my name is Dave, I'm single, 42 years old and live in a small village near Grassington right in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. I have been walking locally 'up hill and down dale' for many years usually just me and my beloved (but grumpy!) border collie but as she's nearing 13 she's struggling to manage the longer days. Walking alone does get very dull so I'm now looking for a female walking companion to enjoy long day walks or shorter walks with, someone who doesn't mind the walk ending in an inviting pub to finish the day over a pint or two!! I do love the Dales but keen to explore further afield so anyone who might have knowledge or a desire to walk elsewhere across the North of England would be a bonus
I'm also interested in long distance walks over a couple of days or more, camping or BandBs en route - I completed the Dales Way with a group from work last year and loved every step of it... !

Thanks for looking - if you are interested I would be happy to hear from you.
Dave

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Bedford.

My Message: Hi, I'm Caroline. I love the outdoor life, particularly walking in the hills. There's nothing better than reaching the top of a mountain on a crisp, sunny morning and enjoying the view. Getting there is the is the challenge! Over the years I've enjoyed walking in most of the peaks and mountains of Britain, but there are still many new routes to discover. It would be great to share the experience with a like minded male. To walk, talk and share the apres adventure. If you like the idea drop me a line.

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Blackpool.

My Message: I have become more into walking longer, more challenging routes in the last 12 months but there is still more to do!! My favourite places are the Trough / Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales. Haven't quite got myself up to Ben Nevis standard yet but definitely prefer longer walks to shorter ones. I am based in Blackpool and I have a couple of friends I walk with on occasion (human), and sometimes my husband will come out with me but his work shifts can get in the way. I also have my two faithful walking pals (canine) that accompany me on all walks. If dogs can't go then I don't go! I would like to find walking companions male or female with or without dogs (as long as they don't mind mine) to swap new walks with and for some company. I work two days a week regularly then have a lot of flexibility the rest of the time for outings during weekdays (preferably) or weekends. I am totally rubbish at map reading although that said I have managed to find my way home every time! If I'm out walking then I am not at home snacking!! :-)

I am a Walker, in my late 40s, based near Mellor.

My Message: Hi I am not quite sure how to grade the walks that I am interested in. I have completed the Camino in Northern Spain but that doesn't involve that much climbing! I've also done the middle 4 days of Hadrians Wall. However I haven't done much walking over the last twelve months and would like to get out and about a bit more. The dog is in her 13th year and is no longer up for long walks. I love being outdoors, walking in great scenery and in good company that would be even better. I haven't navigated much and walking is one of the few areas of life that I am happy to follow in a sheep-like manner! I am quite well-travelled but very down to earth and would be happy to chat about many things in addition to walking in companionable silence, at times. A meal and a glass of something nice at the end of a days walking would be great. I am in a walking group and go on around 8 mile walks at present but to meet a male companion who enjoys walking would be the icing on the cake. I am based in Mellor in my native Lancashire and look forward to hearing from you. I have no ties and am free most weekends.

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Milton Keynes.

My Message: Hi my name is Jan and would love to find a walking friend to share some of the walks I do fairly regularly and also to share all the lovely walks that I have yet to discover! Having lived in the North West up until a couple of years ago I got to walk many areas in the Yorkshire Dales, Cumbria, Howgills and Lancashire and I still go up there as often as I can and know some parts very well but always willing to do some new ones even areas I have never been to! I am based down in Buckinghamshire now and am happy to walk around here and the surrounding counties as well as in the north, as it's always better to be in the great outdoors! It would be great to be contacted by someone in the Dales as I try to spend as much time there as I can but would be lovely to have a companion here in this area where I am currently. I consider myself reasonably fit but not really sporty and am happiest doing walks up to about 8-9 miles and to stop occasionally to appreciate the scenery! I consider myself an easy going laid back sort of person and enjoy a sense of humour in someone else. I am single and about 5' 5", medium to slightly plump build with blond/grey hair and have two sons and four grandchildren. My other interests are in drawing and sketching, reading and of course to be out and about in the countryside. Well that's enough about me, I look forward to hearing from you, please get in touch!
