My Message: Hello,

I want to meet new friends who like walking. I have been trying to convert a few of my current ones into enjoying the pastime, unfortunately, pushing them up hills and then getting them lost in fog seems to have put the most likely off.

I used to walk quite a lot when I was younger, mainly in the Peak District and North Wales. I have recently started again, hence the miserable friends. I have an ok level of fitness and like a bit of a challenge when it comes to my choice of walk.

My Message: Hi
My name is Claire and I'm looking to make new walking friends. My three teenage sons are less keen to walk with me these days and local friends are not really "walkers". I live on The Wirral and I try and walk most weekends. I don't mind travelling for a decent walk (5 miles +). I don't mind low level flat walks, or hills (preferably with the promise of a view) and am happy to do day walks in North Wales, The Peak District, Yorkshire Dales etc. My favourite place in the world is The Lakes ( I'm an exiled Cumbrian!), and have many Wainwrights under my belt. I would also be interested shorter evening walks locally. I work term time only, so I am available weekdays during school holidays. I can read a map, so I usually know roughly where I am and where I'm going!!!
I think there's nothing better than a day with my walking boots and rucksack on, in the great outdoors with the promise of a pub or tea shop at the end, if you feel that way too, please get in touch.

My Message: Hi
I'm Nigel (48) and I'm looking for walking companions - individuals or groups - for long or short day walks. I was lucky enough to grow up in North Wales because my parents moved up here just before I was born. And after long stints in London and elsewhere I moved back a few years ago, to a village near Llanberis. So my preferred locations are Snowdonia and the surrounding coastal regions, but I'm happy to visit other areas too - Lake District, Peak District, Brecons etc. For anyone who doesn't drive (or would rather not) I can pick you up and drop you off at railway stations/accommodation etc. Any grade including scrambling is fine for me and I'm happy to have lunch or finish the day in the cafe or pub; whatever suits. I work as a freelancer but I'm currently between contracts renovating my house. So although weekends are still best for me I can also get out during the week. Looking forward to hearing from you!

My Message: Hi, I moved to Scotland recently and I'm keen to explore. I've done quite a bit of cycle touring in the UK and France, and a fair amount of walking in the Lake District. I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Warwickshire.

My Message: I have done a lot of walking over the years both in the UK and abroad and retired so lots more time available now. My local area is the Cotswolds but I often walk in Wales, Derbyshire and the Lake District. I have completed part of the South West coast path and would like to do more. I particularly enjoy walking in the hills, coastal walking and walking a reasonable distance. Although I walk with various groups of friends regularly they are not always free or inclined to walk further from home. I have only marked a few areas as I would be willing to walk almost anywhere.
I look forward to finding new companions, particularly for the SWC path.

My Message: Reliving my passion for walking in the country side. As I am now registerd Blind I find it's not so easy for filling my love of walking. A keen rambler for many years I have a yearn to get out and about again and take in the beautiful creation that surrounds us. I am looking to make a couple of friends to come rambling. I'm living in London and need to get out from time to time.
I thought up to about 10+ miles would be a good starting distance. I can help with some travel expenses if we need a train. I am up for a pint, or tea, or my favoured place for a break is a bite to eat in the middle of nowhere propped up against a log or wall.

My Message: Hi,
My name is Keith and I'm looking for a female walking companion to show me walks in the Lake District, Snowdonia and the Peak District. Ideally around 40 years old. I'm happily married so this is strictly walking. I work full time but have my own car. I've climbed Helvellyn 5 times so far this year which has been quite an experience with the snow. Did the fifth on 27/03/15. I can take holidays from work at short notice, I don't have a lot of holiday allowance but a good walk would be worth the sacrifice. I've done Great Gable, Skiddaw, Blencathra, Dale Head, Fleetworth Pike, Scafell Pike, Helvellyn and Conistan Old Man and Ben Nevis. My Message: Hi there,

I am 40 years of age, I love walking but haven't done any for some time. I am looking for female and male friends to have a nice walk with in and around the North West (or further afield) I am free mainly at the weekends as I have a very busy professional working life during the week.

My friends don't like walking so much and I find it really sad that they miss out on such a lot of beauty that our country and region offers. I have just come out of a relationship so I really am just looking for good company and friendship, along side some fab walking and chilling!

A little bit about me, I love to travel, I love food, I love eating out, I love having a beer and like having a few laughs along the way. I am a very considerate person and prefer smaller groups rather than big walking groups. I love walking off the beaten track and ending up in a lovely country pub for some hearty food!

I love walking in the countryside, the seaside, the lakes, canals and even urban walking. I need to get my fitness levels up again, but can walk 7 miles on the flat at the moment. I have climbed some mountains, but for me, walking is about taking in the scenery, not the bagging of peaks or getting there the quickest or doing the longest walk.

Anyway, if you are free and you want to walk some time, I'd love to meet you.

My Message: Hi I'm Dave, an active 43 yr old looking for walking/camping companions both male and female. I have been walking for quite a few years now, mainly in Northumberland, Lake District and Scotland. I am pretty well experienced and know my way around quite a few places. Working offshore gives me a lot off time off to venture off into the great outdoors, there's nothing better. I am very interested in trying out some wild camping, hoping to do it very soon in fact, so if anyone is looking for company give me a shout, I have never tried it but I am in the process of getting the kit together.
I am married with 2 children, my 8 yr old boy is already into Wainwright double figures, he often joins me and is great company on the fells.

I enjoy hills and flat walks of any distance, also cycling (off road), and usually have a couple of dogs tagging along. Scrambling is always a challenge I'm up for, but not anything too scary, not keen on massive drops!

My friends and I are seeking new friends to walk with in Wales or Shropshire, we are all hardy walkers and capable of trekking 18 miles + and mountain terrain. My Message: Hi folks,

I live in North Devon and I'm looking for someone - primarily - who would like to join me on Dartmoor for either day-walks or backpacking trips/wild camping, though fully prepared to go further afield.

I have a fair knowledge of Northern Dartmoor and am fully able to get lost there with the best of them!

I suppose I could call myself a Mountaineer. I've climbed and walked in the Himalayas, Caucusses, Pyrenees, North Africa and the Andes (they're at the end of your armies) and have been wandering around the UK mountains since childhood. I'm also an average mountain-biker (in that I fall off frequently). Quite keen on Via Feratta too.

I like to think that I'm relatively fit, and would be happy with walks of any distance.

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Pontypool.

My Message: Active 54 year old looking for equally active male walking buddy for walking at weekends in the main as work prevents weekday walking. Looking for friendship and companionship initially, and take it from there. Happy to tackle most walking terrain, and not just a fair weather walker. Would prefer a non smoking companion, and happy to partake in a beverage at a Pub either en route or at the end of a walk.
