A bit more about me:
When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it.
I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on.
I like walking with dogs and will bring my own.
I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good.
I can drive and have a car.
I am also interested in:
- Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
- Peak Bagging - where the aim is to climb all the hills or mountains on a particular list such as 'bagging' all the Wainwrights or Munros;
- Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
- Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;
- Mountain Biking
I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Faversham hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: Hi, my name is Gavin and I'm looking to find new walking / camping friends to explore the outdoors near to me and to have the occasional adventure further afield. I'm a busy teacher and father but my wife and children aren't as keen on the longer distance walks, and especially the camping, that I like to do. I'm recovering from a back injury and walking is a good way for me to keep my fitness levels up, and as long as I can have the occasional lie down, I'm good to go. I recently did some solo walking and camping in the very north of Scotland and really want to go back, possibly to the Hebrides. Would love to meet a like minded person or a group to walk, chat, camp and, perhaps, plan the odd bigger adventure.

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Inverness hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: A Yorkshire lass I'm enjoying making new memories and having new adventures here in the Highlands, wild swimming in lochs, walking in the mountains, exploring remote beaches and skiing.
I enjoy long distance walks and have started working my way through the Monroes, albeit very slowly!
Someone who could could help me improve my navigation skills to enable me to get up to some high level peaks (or show me the way up) would be great, also happy to have a wild swim afterwards would be even better!

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Newbury hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: Hi! I'm a fun-loving, adventurous guy living in Newbury, Berkshire. I'm happy walking alone, but it's so much more fun (and better conversation) with two so I'm looking for male or female friends to join me on walks locally (around Berks/Hants/Wilts) or further afield (anywhere really - from Cornwall to Scotland, Snowdonia to Norfolk).
I also enjoy scrambling (tho' not great with heights), cycling (more off-road than on), camping (wild or civilised), flying kites - I'm essentially very adaptable! I'm happy to explore any areas of the UK - the wilder the better - so if you're interested in joining me then please drop me a line.
ps: I love dogs and have my own, but he's not great with distances so tends to stay at home mostly, unless it's a short walk and my company likes dogs.

I am a Walker, in my late 30s, based near South London hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: Hi There, I'm looking to meet new people/friends to go on some nice walks or camping/kayaking adventures with in the UK or abroad. I live in London but grew up in the country and I'm struggling to find people that love the outdoors and escaping the city as much as I do, or that don't have other responsibilities. I am happy hiking all day or multi day hikes, I also love a bit of kayaking, bouldering, pretty much anything that burns a bit of energy and I am more than happy to drive wherever for a nice walk and chat. If you fancy a walk or a little adventure I would love to hear from you!

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Brighton hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.
My Message: White male aged 66, 40 years walking experience, living in Sussex, fit and friendly seeks to meet an adventurous male or woman walking companion aged about 40+ for walking local and national trails together in the UK and in Europe. Any individual willing to explore the hidden and interesting bye ways of Britain, if warm sleep out during the summer and enjoy a few beers at the end of a days challenging walking, before England and Wales become so sanitized it will look like a theme park( see George Monbiot).
Probably suitable for someone living in London or the South-East but, but if practicable, I would not exclude other contacts from around the country. Most important is the love of the countryside, coastal paths and Highlands of Scotland, quiet places and friendly conversation.

I am a Walker, in my late 50s, based near Aberdeen.
My Message: Hi, I'm looking to meet fellow walkers who don't mind a wee dog coming along and a walker who doesn't really know her Corbett's from Munro's, but likes a biscuit at the top!- that's both of us. However I do walk regularly, love nature, and don't mind being outside in most weathers. I enjoy art, scuba, reading, music and am pretty easy going. I would like to extend my walking, and to share some company in doing so would be great. I'm not keen on heights so sheer ridges and summits are not for me I'm afraid, but I'm fairly fit and up for a wide range of walks, otherwise. I hope to extend some skills like map reading, compass etc without losing the enjoyment of just a good day of walking! I work full time so weekends are best, and holidays are much more flexible in the distances I can travel.

I am a Walker, in my mid 40s, based near Newcastle Upon Tyne.
My Message: Hi all!
Let me introduce myself as a hillwalker returning to the sport after a lengthy absence.
I am looking to do some Munros in winter condition around the 29th of January. Until I gave up on hillwalking about ten years ago I had amassed around seventy five Munros, all done outside the winter season, so as you can guess I am a winter novice apart from doing a winter skills course more years ago than I care to remember! I am hoping someone on here will be in the Loch Tay or Drumochter Pass area at the time mentioned and would not mind me tagging along for some winter experience. I have the kit, map reading skills, cramprons, ice axe etc... I am physically fit from years of endurance road cycling and would not be a liability in any party. I would like to do something fairly non technical to begin with, maybe the Glen Lyon Munros or the Drumochter four to the west of the A9.
Look forward to hearing from you!

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Llandrindod Wells.
My Message: There is nothing better than for me to be out walking in the hills and mountains of Wales (home now) or Scotland (home for 6 years until 2012) with my 2 spaniels. I would prefer to be out and about, joking and laughing with close friends rather than watching mind numbing TV on my own. I'm a Yorkshire lad, so any testing peak, anywhere in the UK or Europe, I would give it my best shot. There has to be some common sense prevailing when the location is chosen, so Wales, the Peak District, Cumbria, the South West would be easier to say yes to. Wild Camping, BandB, inns with good food and ale, I'm up for all of it, provided my dogs get to come too.

I am a Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Worcestershire.

My Message: Hello, my name is Alex, I am a well spoken, well educated male, fit, slim, single, 55 year old, living in a beautiful, rural area of Worcestershire. I received an email a couple of years ago from a chum who was backpacking his way around New Zealand, and he was encouraging me to get off my bottom, see more of this island, and perhaps join a walking club.... so here I am!
In February 2016 I had a major operation, but all is well now thankfully. Initially, I would like to gently ease my way back into walking, until full fitness is restored. I regularly used to walk the Malvern Hills, all through the Cotswolds, and have done many, many miles in the West of Ireland when I lived there. I still want to walk my regular walks, but now I have a mind to cast my net wider, in search of some fresh challenges and experiences. My ideal companion who I would like to join me? Female, slim, bright, optimistic, good company, has a sense of direction (as my map reading ability is very rusty). Someone who would be happy to have a few well deserved drinks and a pub meal at the end of the day. I no longer have a dog, so if you do happen to have a four-legged friend who loves the outdoor life, and who of course loves me too, then even better. I have plenty of time on my hands, during the week and at weekends, and I drive, so if you are looking for some genial and intelligent company along the way, perhaps we should make a plan.

I am a Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Aberdeen.
My Message: Hi. i live in Aberdeenshire and walk regularly, mainly hills, forest tracks and beaches. Being now semi retired with more spare time i would like to walk some of the many walking ways which we have in this country. I am also keen to walk some of the longer stretches of beach. Walking alone means i always have to return to where i have parked, so with a companion and a second car longer walks would be possible. Im looking for walking buddies who are reasonably fit, male female or couple. I have just bought a camper van so am able and keen to travel. I am also also a life long naturist so if weather and location permit i prefer to walk nude. It is the most liberating and stress busting experience i know but please bear this in mind if replying. Robbie.

I am a Walker, in my early 40s, based near Loughborough.
My Message: I'm looking for friends who enjoys walking and the great outdoors to join me on my adventures.
I walk between 6 and 10 miles most weekends, with shorter walks during the week.
I live in the Charnwood Forest area of Leicestershire, which has some beautiful countryside. I also enjoy walking in Wales and the Peak District, the Lakes District, Cornwall and Scotland. I also enjoy camping, bodyboarding, kayaking and other outdoor activities. I work full time during the week, but I'm willing to travel reasonable distance for weekend walks (North Wales, Peak District, etc), and further for weekends away/holidays/etc. I like to travel, so walking holidays abroad are also a possibility.
If you're interested in meeting up then please get in touch. Nick.

I am a Walker, in my early 50s, based near Nr Glasgow.
My Message: Hi, I live near Glasgow and would like some company to explore new places walking and cycling. I like the chat but I am not keen on large walking groups so thought I would give this site a go. I am relatively fit and while I like the challenge of getting to the top for the views I also enjoy gentle walks and the relaxing well earned drink at the end of the day in a pub or a good tea room. I have done various walks in Scotland and the Lake district but useless at navigation relying on previous walking partners to make sure I got back home, another good reason I don't walk alone. So please get in touch if you also want some company, I work full time so only available at weekends.
