Tony Halliday walked up Birks Fell on June 22nd, 2021 [from/via/route] Started from kettlewell via arncliffe litton buckden & starbottom [with] Sally Halliday Jimmy boo and George our dogs [weather] Cloudy start until sun broke through in cloud up top but sunny in lower Dales - Dry but in cloud cover higher up sunny spells not too hot good walking conditions

Angela Moroney climbed Birks Fell during 2020 [with] JL

Margaret Richards bagged Birks Fell on September 27th, 2018 [from/via/route] Horsehead & Birks Fell from Buckden [with] Don [weather] sunny & windy up top - interesting ridge walking, excellent views but very boggy in parts

Kevin Foster hiked Birks Fell on July 16th, 2017 [from/via/route] Yockenthwaite (Horse Head Pass) [with] By myself (and Henry my Labrador) [weather] Hot & Sunny (but with a pleasant cool breeze on the tops). - I took a bearing South off the top & soon came upon a stone hut & then even a path! The views were very impressive on the steep descent into Langstrothdale, & across at my next objective Birks Fell. I'd done the approach route via the Horse Head Pass & also the path descending back to Redmire farm near Hubberholme many times when I've crossed to Littondale & back, but the crossing of Birks Fell following the summit wall was new to me. The book describes an easy couple of miles walking to the small cairn signifying the summit of this extensive fell, & a further mile walking beyond that to the descent path. However, do not underestimate this part of the walk, the walking is very rough & boggy & the fell is huge. The number of fences & walls leading away from the summit wall are off putting & I was constantly having to check my position (grid reference) on the map to make sure I was still on the route. I wouldn't recommend this walk in mist or after a prolonged spell of rain. On a positive note the views North to Buckden Pike & Great Whernside & South to Fountains Fell & Pen-Y-Ghent were superb.

Tony Rogerson summited Birks Fell on October 5th, 2014 [from/via/route] Arncliffe & Litton [with] John & Floss [weather] High Cloud

Mark Nattrass conquered Birks Fell on September 18th, 2015 [from/via/route] Arncliffe [weather] Lovely - Lots of Red Grouse

Chris Faulkner scaled Birks Fell on August 23rd, 2015 [from/via/route] Forom Buckden via Firth's Fell [with] Michelle Chandler [weather] Perfect. Sunny with a warm wind.

Caroline Winter walked up Birks Fell on August 7th, 2015 [from/via/route] Buckden, Redmire Farm, Birks Fell, Firth Fell Summit, Birks Tarn, Birks Fell Summit, Low Combe Stoop, Birk Bank, Buckden [with] solo [weather] Sunny, 21 degrees C, light southerly wind. - Great visibility - Carved track up Fell. Difficulty spotting B Fell Summit. Fallen stone cairn paced from stone wall amongst higher peat Groughs, so guess that was it. My feet touched the higher Peat, just in case! Features- Amazing views, sheep dipping pen, Shimmering Tarn, Jets flying the valley, contrast of Birks Bank wood

Darren Mortimer climbed Birks Fell on July 25th, 2015 [from/via/route] Hubberholme [with] Dermot Palmer [weather] Warm & sunny

Christine Shepherd bagged Birks Fell on April 11th, 2014 [from/via/route] Walked from Buckden using walk ny153 [with] Jenny [weather] A lovely spring day - A lovely walk with great views & a delightful tarn. We even saw a lizard on the way down to Buckden, just to add even more interest to the walk.
