Walked through the forest & out onto open fellside. A nice easy walk with much ascent completed in the car. [with] Charlie [weather] Cloud & damp. - Our no 88 Wainwright.
Geoff Hand summited Whinlatter (Brown How) on July 13th, 2023 [from/via/route] WalkC183. Lords Seat & Greystones from Whinlatter Forrest Park. Set out from Whinlatter Forest Park via Combe Beck & Beckstone Plantation & then popped out onto the hill & upto Barf. From here we followed the ridge onto Lord's seat. We stopped & had a coffee & a protein bar. Tess had a chewy sick & then onto Broom Fell. Nice run across the moor.See below [with] Tess (Jack Russell) [weather] Windy day with high cloud & sunny intervals. - We dropped down from Broom & then climbed upto Greystones, skipping over a couple of other bumps on the way. Down a very steep decent to the forest & then upto Brown How. finnished the walk over Whinlatter & down to the forest Park. Nice Cake!

Richard Fulcher scaled Whinlatter (Brown How) on November 27th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parked near the top of Whinlatter Pass on the side of the road. Walked back up the road about 150 yards before branching left up through one of the forest tracks. At the Gruffulo crossroads we turned sharp left & followed the track to a gate. Here we turned sharp right & climbed up to Whinlatter Top (East peak). We followed the path from here across to Brown How (West peak) where we sat in the wind shelter & had our sandwiches. We returned by the same path & diverted in the forest for a bit of variety & a cup of tea in the crowded cafe. [with] Jen [weather] Cold, wind gusting to 30 mph, a little rain & even less sunshine! Some great light for photography though! - A great ramble for a Sunday afternoon.

This was my 200th Wainwright. Climbed again on 12.06.21 using c183.Climbed again just up & down from the visitors centre on 12.11.22.
