Richard Fulcher bagged Hartsop Above How on September 26th, 2021 [from/via/route] Parked at Cow Bridge (Brothers Water) & walked along the side of the lake into Dovedale. Followed the path over the bridge & up the 'Gully Staircase'. Stopped for lunch viewing Dovedale from above. Low cloud prevented us seeing much more for the rest of the day! We turned right at the top to reach Hart Crag - visibility down to a few feet & very strong winds. Followed the ridge route via Hartsop Above How back down to the road at Bridgend. Very difficult descent initially down sloping craggy rocks. Took about 7.5 hours ... our usual 1 mile per hour. [with] Jen [weather] Low cloud, strong winds & horizontal rain. Both soaked through to the skin by the end of the day. - Jen found the ascent challenging but easier than it first appeared.
