Other walkers who hiked, climbed, bagged and summited Thunacar Knott Fellow go4awalkers who have already walked, climbed, summited & bagged Thunacar Knott

Melfyn Parry walked up Thunacar Knott on November 17th, 2024 [from/via/route] Started walk from car park opposite New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, NY295063. Walked through the National Trust car park & up a track towards Mark Gate eventually reaching Loft Crag, from here we went over to have a little scramble up Pike of Stickle. The path over to Harrison Stickle is a bit boggy in parts but on reaching the summit we then made our way over to Pavey Ark which affords great views down to Stickle Tarn. From here we followed the path to the summit of Thunacar Knott. By now the weather was worsening with quite heavy snow showers, so a plan to continue over to High Raise was abandoned. We returned towards Pavey Ark before descending to Stickle Tarn. The weather was calmer down here & a straight forward path took us back to the start point. [with] DS & MW [weather] Cool initially, turning very cold when the snow started to fall. Visibility was variable with occasional breaks in the cloud affording good views

David Higginbottom climbed Thunacar Knott on October 4th, 2024 [from/via/route] C281 [with] Carolyn [weather] Clear - Nice steep walk

David Peebles bagged Thunacar Knott on June 2nd, 2024 [from/via/route] Langdale Campsite Carpark [with] Group [weather] Great Weather. Sun & not too cold or windy.

Christine Shepherd conquered Thunacar Knott on June 7th, 2008 [from/via/route] Walked from Borrowdale using walk c329 [with] On my own [weather] overcast but warm. - Took a group on the same walk on 28.6.08. I ' forgot' to bag it again after climbing Jack's Rake (see note Ed.) on 12.5.12, heading straight for Harrison Stickle. I think the climb had addled my brain! Bagged this summit for a third time with a group from Head4theHills on 15/01/23

Martyn Atherton scaled Thunacar Knott on March 14th, 2022 [from/via/route] c206 Blea Rigg, Sergeant Man, High Raise, Thunacar Knot, Pavey Ark, Harrison Stickle, Pike of Stickle & Loft Crag [with] Self [weather] Dry & cloudy ath first then sunny & then raining - A really good & varied walk

Quite warm - Langdale is my favorite part of the lakes (upto now?) Nice & quiet again. Nice little run over from Pavey Ark. Managed to miss the bog!
