In-use Test:
I've worn Meindl's Anatomic Trekking socks for a few long days' winter walking. And I must say that so far I've liked them. They've fitted well stayed in place aided, I imagine, by the elasticated section across the top of the foot - plus the elasticated cuff at the top of the leg.The sole is nicely padded as is a section at the back of the leg so I felt my feet and lower calves were well protected. The wicking is also pretty good. Overall - I've found them really very comfortable.
There's reinforced section at the toes and heels which contributes to the comfort and should help with wear and tear. However I have noticed some slight bobbling on the front of the foot and the front of the leg.
After a couple of days' wear - the odour retention was non-existent but in any case so far they've washed and dried well.
These Anatomic Socks from Meindl are definitely a good option for general walking - whether single or multi day. The padding on the back of the leg is a great feature.
