In-use Test:

I'm female and use a size 41 walking boot. I've been wearing the Darn Tough micro crew for a variety of walking - with low cut, approach-type shoes and also light weight walking boots in relatively warm, UK Autumn weather. I've worn them for day long walking in the White Peak and also for Nordic Walking on Cheshire canal tow paths and through woodland.

I've found that the medium size fitted very well and stayed in place throughout the day without any sign of bunching up. The underfoot is nicely padded and there are no seams to create any discomfort; I wasn't conscious of my feet feeling damp at all so the wicking seems very effective.

The odour management is good - I've worn them for up to three days before washing them without any discernible 'wiffiness'. So far, after a couple of months of regular use, there is some slight 'piling' around the heel - but no other sign of wear. I will report back on the longer term wear. Finally, they wash very well (at 40 deg C in fact ) and dry (in air) quickly.

Buying Advice:

The Darn Tough micro crew socks are very comfortable and offer a good level of protection for your feet. They are a great option for use with lighter weight walking boots/shoes.
