In-use Test:
The Regatta Signum softshell is an attractive looking, semi-fitted jacket which does have some wind resistance and water repellancy.
The fit was fine in the shoulder, but the overall length was a little short. (Our young tester was wearing the 9-10 size and is 5 feet tall.) The jacket also seemed a little bulky in the under arm area and the sleeves seemed a little tight around the elbows which was a little restrictive when bending the arms. Although the material does have some stretch, this was only in one directlon.
Whilst there is a hem adjuster, this only works over a small length of the hem - and this reduced the jacket's warmth somewhat.
The two side pockets seemed quite hard to actually get your hands into.
The full length front zip does have a chin-guard (which was good), however, the zip itself did not run very easily at its top so it was quite fiddly to close fully.
Whilst the Regatta Signum softshell did function in terms of weather resistance and does look appealing, in our test the fit and other aspects of the design did let it down a little.
