Getting fit for Walking
Q. Hi,
Can anyone recommend any good gym routines that keep them fit for walking / backpacking?
Due to work etc I can't get to the hills all the time but I can spare an hour in the gym so what do people suggest?

A. Yea Try the old yogic exercise routine "sun salutations" there about 20 different versions but basically they all will be doing the same job of strengthening, stretching, opening, developing, lengthening, stimulating the whols body both inner and outer, try and work up to be able to perform 10 minutes daily without pause at your own pace, which will improve as you develop.
