Finding a Daypack that Fits
Q. I seem to have problems finding a daypack to suit me.
I have a pack already but it is not comfortable, the straps rub under my arms. I have been to several retail shops and tried on hundreds but cannot find a sack which seems to be comfortable when I try it on.
Is there anywere that you can go that provides a fitting service for rucksacks. I will need approx. 35 litres, and am getting fedup with looking. I am quite broad chested and previous open heart chest surgery has not helped with trying to find a good comfortable fit.
Can anyone help?

A. Hi Aydin,
Try a Deuter daysack. They do a 35 litre. I've just bought a 22 litre with an optional hydration system and it's amazingly comfortable. It has a shaped mesh back which holds it away from your body so you keep cool, an integral waterproof cover to keep the whole backpack dry and holders for 2 or more walking poles.
There are loads of strap adjustmants, a waist strap and an adjustable chest strap to keep the main straps from rubbing your arms.
I got mine in Rohan in Ambleside and they do mail order. I think Black's also had Deuter backpacks.
Hope this helps
