A. There are at least two 'Three Peaks' walks in the UK.
The first takes in the three highest summits in Scotland, Wales and England - namely:
1. Ben Nevis, Highland, Scotland
See Walk(s):
h100 | h137 | h154 |2. Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), Gwynedd, North Wales
See Walk(s):
gw100 | gw105 | gw107 | gw110 | gw117 | gw126 | gw134 | gw136 | gw140 | gw158 | gw186 | gw198 |3. Scafell Pike, Cumbria, North West England
See Walk(s):
c110 | c111 | c166 | c172 | c194 | c197 | c215 | c233 | c271 | c370 | c416 | c453 | c454 |
All three peaks are usually completed within 24 hours and require back-up and transport getting from one mountain to the next.
The other (and more common) Three Peaks Walk is a (long!) single day hike starting in Horton-in-Ribblesdale and climbing the Yorkshire Peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in one 37.5km (23.5 miles) circular walk.
We publish a comprehensive and fully up-to-date route guide for walking The Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk: ny101 The Yorkshire Three Peaks from Horton in Ribblesdale
along with a guide to The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge which should tell you everything you need to know.
