Dale Tyler bagged Ben Macdui (Beinn MacDuibh) on July 11th, 2018 [from/via/route] Park in funicular car park & head out across the the hills to the right. Not sure what the route is called-very clearly marked path-obviously a main route [with] Sarah [weather] Complete contrast to Meall a' Bhuachaille the day before! Walked in the clouds all the way. No visibility & nice & wet from all the moisture in the air! - Peaceful summit-just me & Sarah sat in the clouds, although nearly missed the path coming back down! No ghostly old mountain men - thankfully! Snow bunting on top, grouse on the way up & down.

Bay Wan scaled Ben Macdui (Beinn MacDuibh) on October 20th, 2013 [from/via/route] start from ski mountain resort via Cairngorm [with] Cocoa Pops [weather] Dry ish, light rain in parts, but misty on the summits - Better to do this walk in summer, more time to savour the views, if you can get some :/ Allow a good 4 hours to get to the summit of Macdui, the return leg via the western flank is fairly easy going compared with the uphill via Cairngorm

Conditions were to deteriorate rapidly after we had bagged this summit.
